Regret

I wish I would have told you how I felt when we looked over the balcony that night. I longed to tell that you looked perfect when you came home from work. I prayed for you to understand that I found you attractive when you felt unsightly. I should have kissed you when we watched that show laying beside each other. You smiled at me and all I could do was blush and turn away. I wrote you that line, the one I read to you with my hands shaking. I thought you might think it was too forward. "I love it." you told me while smiling. I wasn't ever as strong as you but my feelings were worth their weight in gold. "It's so hard to admit something you try to hide from everyone."
