Chapter Six - Astronomy Tower Date

Chapter Six – Draco POV

The next few months went quite quickly at Hogwarts and before we knew it, it was the day before the Christmas holidays. Lisa had gone through the full first term without getting any detentions but I however had detention almost every other night but lucky for me they were always with Professor Snape so I got to leave early. The only teachers who ever gave me detention were Professor McGonagall (Head of Gryffindor house) and Professor Lockhart (Potter lover) such a shock.  I hated detention because I didn’t get to spend time with Lisa and when I did everyone else was there with us. we had been arguing lately; mostly because Lisa was complaining about how I should just ignore Harry Potter and I wouldn’t end up with so many detentions, what she doesn't realise is that it isn't as easy as she thinks. we were sitting in the common room and it was 5.30PM and I had set up a surprise for Lisa because I knew that I wouldn’t see her for the whole time that we are going to be off of school because we're both going home. I had arranged with Snape that I would be able to get the keys to the astronomy tower from 6PM until midnight. I had also told Lisa that I had detention again at 6 because it was something that she would believe and she wouldn’t get suspicious of my surprise.  After she had finally stopped shouting at me I told her that we’d do something special just the two of us when we got back from the holidays. Little did Lisa know that we were instead going to have the special surprise tonight. When it was 5:55PM Lisa told me that I should probably go so that I wouldn’t be late. When I turned around and looked at the clock and realised that Lisa was correct and I only had 5 minutes before Snape wouldn’t allow me to have the keys. I gave Lisa a peck on the cheek and said goodbye; she hugged me tight and said goodbye back. I ran out of the common room because I wanted the night to go perfectly although I did feel bad about lying to Lisa. I walked with a fast pace to the door of Professor Snape’s classroom and knocked; nobody answered the door so I walked in. The classroom was empty there were not even any students in detention. I heard voices at the back of Snape’s desk behind the chalkboard but nobody was there; they must be in his office. I walked towards Professor Snape’s office and stood outside the large oak doors, knocked twice and waited. I got no answer so I knocked again and continued to knock until I heard shuffling behind the door. There was a loud click and the door swung open and in front of me stood Professor Snape with an evil grin plastered on his face. Professor Snape stepped out of the way to reveal a tall blond haired man sitting on the leather sofa; a man who was very familiar to me. “Father?” I questioned very shocked. “Hello Draco. I heard from Severus here that you have asked permission to have the keys to astronomy tower for tonight.” He stopped and stared at me questioningly waiting for an answer. I stared right back into the eyes of my father and nodded. “Why?” father asked shocked. “Why what father?” I said. Father continued “Why do you need the keys for the astronomy tower on the last night of school? What purpose could you possibly have?”  I Looked at my father and said “Father, I was planning a surprise for my girlfriend. Her name is Lisa.” He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at his me “Girlfriend?” I looked down because I hadn’t meant to say that “Yes” I mumbled. My father looked out into the distance and said “I too once had a young love here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and I also had to ask for permission to have those exact keys” He pointed to the hoop of keys sitting on Snape’s coffee table. I looked up and looked at the keys; I asked “Who was she?”  he looked straight my eyes and said “Narcissa Black. Now son I don’t want you to get up to what we did so if you still wish to have these keys I will chaperone you”  I didn’t want to disagree with my father and I wanted the keys so I nodded feebly. I walked with my father up to the astronomy tower and had to endure him talking about his time at Hogwarts and how different the world was when he was a young boy. When we got to the astronomy tower I set up the stuff that I would need for my date, I conjured up a table and called for our family house elf Dobby. Dobby came and I ordered him “Go and make food for me and my date”. Dobby nodded, said “Yes master” and apperated back to Malfoy Manor to do his duties. I continued to prepare while I waited for Dobby to return whereas father just conjured up a chair and sat down. 10 minutes later Dobby returned with enough food to feed the entire pure-blood family. Once I was sure that everything was perfect for Lisa I called for Dragon. Dragon came to me with all of the writing utensils that I would need and held his leg out to have them taken off. I wrote my letter to Lisa it said:
