Chapter Seventeen: Goodbye

[I'm lazy so, yeah. I finally got my laptop back too.]

Atami POV

"See ya later Luffy." I said as I waved goodbye to him, me & Ace were actually leaving cause 1. Blackbeard isn't in Alabasta & I don't have a reason to stay with Luffy if Ace isn't exactly there

"Atami~~!! Join my crew~~!!"

"Sorry Luffy, I'm a lone pirate with Opal."

"Yeah."

"Pleeaassee."

"No."

"Luffy stop bothering her, you know she's never going to join you." Luffy looked at Ace, glared at him but then pouted

"Fine." then he walked back to his crew, those little boys & their father called out & said 'Goodbye Straw Hat-san' that was the perfect timing so me, Ace & Opal made our way back to the Merry

"I feel bad for leaving Luffy now."

"He'll get over it." I turned around & fake anime cried

"But I was his favorite sibling..."

"I HEARD THAT!!"

"Of course you did." I started laughing but when I turned around Ace had an irk mark on his head "Oh no." & then I started running away

"Get back here!"

"No way! lets book it Opal!"

"Okay." she turned into her tiger form, I jumped on her back & then she ran away

"Wait!!"

"Will you kill me?"

"No." I smirked

"Hop on." Opal used her senses to find the ship while me & Ace were chatting "So Atami."

"What?"

"You & Thatch huh?"

"What does that mean?"

"You like him, don't you?" I looked away & blushed a dark red

"N-No way, me & him... that's ridiculous." I whispered the last part, I started pouting while Ace started laughing "Shut up! at least I'm gonna have a boyfriend!"

"Whats that suppose to mean!?"

"It means that yo ass is gonna be lonely forever."

"Oh snap!" that was Opal "Yo ass just got burned, again."

"Shut up Opal!" she only chuckled

~ At The Merry ~

"Hey Ace, ya mind giving me a lift to the next island?"

"Can't you go with Opal?"

"For some reason my Log Pose is busted, look." it stopped moving & it was cracked "I have no idea what happened to it."

"Fine, on one condition."

"Which is?"

"When we arrive at the island, you have to buy me food."

"Deal." we shook on it. I hopped onto his boat & he sailed away, the nice breeze hit my face & I loved it. Ever since Opal ate that Angel Fruit I've always been underwater, seeing the depths of the seas & every time I get a ship it always gets destroyed

"Someone is enjoying themselves."

"Of course, its been a long time since I've enjoyed a breeze like this." he chuckled "But under the sea is very beautiful."

"I wish I could see it again."

"Again?"

"I've been to Fishman Island."

"Fishman Island is cool."

"I know!" it was night right now I Opal was asleep underwater since that's where she's most comfortable, Ace & I were able to share half of the boat without complaining. When I was comfortable I was staring up at the stars

"I feel like we're back at the tree house."

"Yeah, without Luffy yelling every now & then."

"Your right." we both started laughing until our Narcolepsy hit us & we fell asleep

Third Person

Ace woke up first & found that the two of them were hugging each other, Ace smiled & looked up to the sun, he could tell it was going to be a hot day

"I shall protect you..." Atami muttered in her sleep, tightening her grip around Ace

"But you won't always be there..." Ace got out of her grip & lazily pushed himself up & started stretching. Atami slowly opened one eye & the sun shun in her eyes so she moved her arm to make a shadow, the boat started to rock a bit so Ace stumbles onto Atami.

When her eyes fling open she realizes that Ace's lips were on hers, they both blush madly, Atami shoves him off her & they both scream

"OMG!!!" Atami puts her head in the water & screams even louder, when she arose she yelled

"WE MUST NEVER SPEAK OF THIS AGAIN!!!"

"NEVER!!" when they finally calmed down Opal appeared

"What did I miss?"

"Nothing!" they yelled together

"Okay, but there are Marine Ships coming." they both look at each other before looking at the incoming ships

"Shall we?"

"We shall indeed, Opal don't interfere."

"Fine." Atami jumped off the boat & was running on the water while Ace was on his boat speeding towards them

"Fire Fist Ace & Water Witch Atami are ahead of us!! Captain! what are your orders!?!"

"Ready to attack! There's only two of them, it shouldn't be that hard!!"

"That's what you think." the Captain screams, he slowly turns around & sees them both in front of him

"What shall we do with them Ace?"

"Destroy the ship & everything on it." that made him (Captain) flinch

"Sounds good to me." Atami pulled out her sword while Ace set himself on fire, Ace destroyed as many ships as Atami so they were actually having fun again, forgetting about that incident

"Kōri no hahen." her hands/nails turned into water which froze, she jumped into the air & shot ice shards, razor sharp ones at the marines 

"Higan!"  Pointing his index and middle fingers of both his hands at the marines like guns, Ace turns his fingertips into flames and shoots bullets made of fire at them. Atami lands behind Ace so their back to back getting ready to finish them off

"I remember how we used to fight side by side."

"Yeah." the two didn't noticed but then there was a flash, their gonna be on the newspaper now
