In the Night

In the night you can hear her cries.

In the night she wants to die.

You can hear her whisper her wish of death.

Listen carefully,

The wind carries her screams.

End her suffering.

You must believe it's real.

Her pain is far greater than you could have imagined.

Her screams may be silent,

But they are deafening.

I can't hear her pleas,

Though they fall upon me with the force of tsunami.

Another wave,

Another day,

She's still in pain because it won't go away.

You can hear her cries,

But only in the night.

But in the daytime,

She's dead inside.
