We waited for what seems like forever before we heard anything.
The Doctor finally came in and he did not look happy.
He looked at me
"did you come in with the little girl?" he asked me
"Yes I stated."
"Will you come with me please?"the doctor said
I nodded and got up to follow him
"I'm just gonna say it" he said
This made me worried
"She has a severe concussion a,cracked andbruised rib, and the feeling in her left leg is gone she can't walk because of this and I don't know if it will ever come back" the doctor finished with a sad look is his eyes.
"We also had the police look into her to find her relatives but everyone we talk to you didn't want her or her disability." He said
Hearing this made me angry how could some one not care about their family like that. I thought to myself
"When she is released and she will be going into the custody of the social worker."The doctor continued
"So she will go to an orphanage?"I asked
"Yes ."The doctor said
"I have to go see some other patients now but you can go see her I recommend going to one or two at a time no more than two if she cries do your best to calm her down because crying will only make her concussion and other injuries worse she's in room 110."The doctor said
"Ok"I replied then walked to room 110.
When I got there I say a nurse trying to do somthing to the small girl I really need to learn her name I thought to my self.
I walked into the room to see a very annoyed nurse and a crying girl with those same blue eyes .
The nurse looked at me
"I have been trying to calm her down for 15 minutes now and she just continues to cry Icant deal with her anymore you wanna try?"she asked me with a very annoyed tone.
"Sure" I said walking over to the girl
She looked up at me still crying . I put my hand on her shoulder as I sit on the edge of her bed .
"Why you crying" I asked her "Cuz I want mommy". she answered
"And the mean lady said I do have a mommy."she said looking at the nurse
I turned and glared at the nurse then turned my Attention back to the girl. "What's your name Princess" I said
"Ava" she squeaked out
"That's a really pretty name" I said "how old are you?" I asked
She looked up at me and held up her hand with all five fingers up.
"Your 5" I said
She nodded
"Where's mommy I want mommy" she said and started to cry again.
"Mommy got hurt in the car really bad I said and she went to heaven" I try to explain to Ava.
"But I'm sacred" she said
"It's ok I said I'm not going to let anyone hurt you I promise your safe now ok?"I said
"Ok" she said "now you need to be nice to the nurses and doctors so they can make you feel better and I will see you tomorrow OK?"I said to Ava
"Please don't leave me she" said
"Shh it ok I will come back I will stay until you fall asleep". I said
"Ok"she said I gently pulled her into my arms careful not to hurt her.
I held her in my arms and rocked her until she fell asleep then I laid her down and left the room going back to team once i got there we all decide it would be best to head back to the house.
