this is a dark, new adult (set in college) short story I wrote many years ago, completed in 2017. I have recently edited and reposted the chapters. certain organization names have changed in the course of editing, but the story is still the same.

please keep these things in mind while you read:

- the devil is in the details. read each line carefully. if you rush through it, you will miss important information. take your time.

- just because you would do something in a certain situation does not mean everyone would or even could. your personal experiences are not always universal.

- this is not a love story. this is not a romance. this is not a tale of two people who belong together. this is a ruination. 

- I will not tolerate any sort of slut shaming or victim blaming comments. expect to be muted if you do. no discussion.
