Is what I am told as advice
When crude words and thrown
And tears are falling
Do I dare speak up and say
"Stop" As a noble act of kindness
Or do I become blind?
Do I dare try to help?
It is an act of courage
To defend innocent victims
In today's day and age
To some, it's an act of stupidity
Do I dare cower and hide
Then make petty excuses
When I never even tried?
Or should I dare to take a stand
I dare myself to speak up
I dare others to yell "Stop!"
I dare witnesses to get help
I dare you to dare yourself
