(Ella is walking up and down the aisles in the library while Jeremy is on the other side. She looks at the spines of the books. While Ella pulls a book out of the shelf, on the opposite side a random book falls off and hits Jeremy)

Jeremy: ouch (rubs his head)

Ella: (comes round the corner) I’m so sorry, the book was stuck and I pulled it, I didn’t realise a book on this side would fall out. Are you ok

Jeremy: I’m fine, I’m Jeremy gilbert

Ella: Ella price nice to meet you Jeremy

Jeremy: nice to meet you to. If you don’t mind me asking what book were you trying to get

Ella: oh just a book on the founding families, I love history it’s my favourite subject and I thought that because I just moved here then I might as well brush up on the local history. Sorry I’m rambling

Jeremy: no it ok, it’s kind of cute. Did I say that out loud?

Ella: yeah you did but don’t worry I like a guy’s honesty and thank you

Jeremy: oh sorry Ella but I have to go, see you around

Ella: erm sure do you want my number.

Jeremy: thank you, I wasn’t sure of how to ask for it

Ella: yeah I’m blunt I always ask the wrong questions

(Ella writes down a number and hands it to him)

Jeremy: thanks Ella see you around.

Ella: goodbye Jeremy

(Jeremy leaves and Ella continues looking for more books on the history of mystic falls while Jeremy goes home and Elena notices something is different about him. He seems happy but distant as well)

Elena: Ok what’s up with you?

Jeremy: I met someone

Elena: Oh spill what’s she like and is she a vampire or something

Jeremy: she’s blunt but she’s so sweet. When I’m around her I can’t help but say what I’m thinking

Elena: Someone’s in love, by the way we have no food, so the grill it is

Jeremy: ok I’ll go now and I’ll meet you later

Elena: ok see you later jer

(Jeremy goes to the grill and see’s Ella in one of the corner booths by herself. She looks deep in thought)

Jeremy: can I join you

Ella: (jumps) Jeremy you scared me

Jeremy: are you ok

Ella: yeah I guess my dad sort of freaked me out with a family curse but apart from that yes I’m fine

Jeremy: (sits down) do you want to talk about it, I’m good with curses

Ella: I don’t want to bore you

Jeremy: no I promise when it gets boring I will tell you

Ella: (sighs) ok then, well apparently it dates back to 1864, there were two brothers and they fell in love with a girl, they started neglecting their little sister. The girl they fell in love thought they needed to be taught a lesson, so she asked a witch to cast a spell on the girl. The witch did and the girl killed the boys little sister. They thought she was gone forever. But the curse was said to bring the little girl back when there was no poverty and illness in the world. I think it’s a pile of rubbish but my dad’s determined that it’s the truth.
