"I'm already here at the mall's entrance Mimi! Where are you?" I practically shouted from being so irritated. It has been 10 minutes since I arrived here waiting on Mimi and she still isn't here.

"Don't shout! Oh, I see you" I heard her chuckle and hang up. After a few minutes I saw her coily blonde hair in the distance. I shifted my head to get a better glimpse at her and saw her running toward me with her hair blowing back with the breeze and he jacket going with the wind also. I forced myself to keep my face stern but when she ran straight into my arms I couldn't help but smile.

"Sorry for taking so long but I saw a candy store on the way here and I had to stop" I shook my head, not even in the mood to comment.

"What movie do you want to watch?" I asked.

"Ummm... Ride Along?" I smiled; satisfied with her decision.

We exited the movie with my arm slung around her shoulder while having a conversation about the movie and laughing at a few scenes we saw.

"Kevin Hart is such an ass" I chuckled and Mimi laughed, probably remembering something about him in the movie.

"I love Ice Cube! He's definitely my favourite male actor... He also reminds me of my dad" She looked up at me to see my face "Don't you think?" I shrugged not really sure of what to say. I never really watched her dad before because that would just be... awkward. Especially if we made eye contact.

"How can you not see it! They literally have the same face" I grinned at how excited she was. It's always refreshing to see her this way. "Are you hungry?"

"Nope" I replied and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Why?" She asked with her hands crossed under her chest.

"What you mean, why? I'm not hungry" Mimi rolled her eyes and walked past me.

"Whatever, I'm hungry let's go for ice cream" I stood there watching her walk off. She then stopped, turned around, and ran back over to me to hold my hand so we could walk together.

We sat at a table and I watched her eat her three scoops of ice cream that looked like a bloody mess with strawberries and raspberries all over it. She was talking on and on about... I don't even know, I was too busy wondering how a girl  this skinny can eat so much and not get fat at all!

"Chaston"

"Yes"

Mimi rose an eyebrow "What did I just say?"

"You love me?" Mimi snorted which caused me to smirk.

"Um, no..." she trailed off "What were you thinking?"

"How you're not fat" Her cheeks turned red as she slid the spoon out her mouth. She opened her mouth to say something but her attention drifted off. She was quiet and it was almost as if she entered a different planet. This is not new to me, I sighed already knowing of what is to come when she gets back to earth.

"Chaston...." I shooed my hand in a dismissal manner. She sighed and got up. "I'm sorry but I really need to go" Mimi bent over and placed a kiss on my lips. "I'll call you later okay" I nodded at her and she sprinted off.

I was agitated. Why does this always happen? She always leaves out of the blue without reason. No matter how hard I try she would never tell me what's up. She lied a few times and I just got tired and stopped asking. Maybe there's someone else that I don't know about.

My jaw clenched and so did my fist at the thought of her cheating on me. I really don't know how I'll handle that if it becomes my reality.

I shook away the thought before it sent me into a bad mood. I pulled out my phone and called Antonio to see if he was available.

"Hello" he answered on the second ring.

"Where you at?"

"Just left Nikki. What's up?"

"Meet me by the arcade"

"Okay cool"

*

Antonio and I spent one hour at the arcade. Thirty minutes playing game and the next thirty minutes talking about Mimi and Nikki.

"I don't know what's worse. A girl who's keeping secrets from you or a girl who's too open with you" I grinned knowing that he was talking about Mimi and Nikki.

"Keeping secrets is definitely more annoying" I answered and he shook his head.

"Yes it's annoying but Nikki is so open and free with me that she doesn't think before she speaks" I laughed at him and his accusation about Nikki. "No, seriously. Sometimes she makes no sense and I would swear she's missing screws" I laughed even louder and this time Antonio laughed also. "But let's be real here Chaston, we both know that Mimi isn't cheating on you. I don't blame you for thinking it because I would've also but knowing her, I really don't think that's what's up"

I shrugged not knowing what to say. Deep down I knew that she's not out here breaking my heart but in my mind I found a place to think that she is.

"Anyways, I got to go home"

"Same here, later" Antonio and I then left and went our separate ways.
