Chapter 1.

Elise's P.O.V

"Oh shut up already"I yelled at the T.v as I re-watched my recording of the Royal wedding, Yes I recorded it just so I could criticize it, month and month.

"This is a real modern fairytale" The reporter said as they rode off in the horse and carriage, Kate smiled widely as she waved to the crowd making me snort.

"Fairytale? yeah right"I scoffed as I returned to the usual programme's.

"Elise, why watch it when you hate it"I looked down to see my 6 year old brother's face filled with confusion. I sighed and lifted him onto my lap.

"Because Fairytale's arn't true Brandon, maybe in some situations to the royal's and the lucky few but people like me and you, we arn't going to get our prince in a suit of armor, or in your case, a beautiful princess who loves everyone no matter what. I'm sorry to tell you this Brandon but-"

"ELISE!"My elder sister yelled, scaring me. I smiled sheepishly at her as she took Brandon away from me.

"Go play Brandon, ignore everything she said."She ordered, he nodded and trotted off back to his room. I faced my older sister, Jessica. Her blonde hair tied into a pony tail as her grey eye's pierced into my blue one's.

"Jess, I was trying to prepare him for the future?"I tried, she glared at me and crossed her arms.

"Elise, he is our little brother. Let him fantasise about what he want's. either about princesses he want's to save or being a prince. Leave him be."she instructed. I sighed and fell back on the couch making my brunette hair fall over the back.

"Fine, but when he goes and tries to find a princess and get's upset when he can't, don't get running to me"I said making her sigh.

"Fine. Just go and get the groceries would you?"She asked, I groaned and nodded taking the money and walking to the shop.

Our town is a small town, literally. There is only about 500 people in our town, or village? Everyone know's everyone and news travels like wildfire. That's why no one would even take a second glance at me walking to the shop in my Pj's. I hummed to myself as I approached the shop. The shopkeeper, George, smiled at me as I entered.

"Oh thank god, a girl who isn't dressed up"He sighed in relief, I raised an eyebrow as I went around the shop, grabbing the food.

"Why are they dressing up?"I asked as I approached the till. He shook his head.

"The prince of that country is coming here, something about looking for a bride"He said vaguely. I laughed slightly

"That country? Jeez George, very informative."I tutted as I heard the girls scream. "He's here already?"I asked. George nodded solemnly. I smirked at him.

"Aw, don't worry George, the girls will come running to you when the prince rejects them"George smiled sarcasticly at me, He's only 18, a year older than me.

"Just get home before Jessica yells at you"He dismissed me as I walked out laughing. I looked around to see a ton of girls wearing dresses and make-up, their hair done up neatly. While I stand there with my blue and white Pj's and yellow socks, my hair in knot's from not brushing it.

"Oh my gawd Elise, couldn't you have dressed up a bit?"Annile asked, raising her ginger eyebrow. I huffed and shifted my bag to my left arm.

"Annile, couldn't you have, I don't know, Get a life?"I asked sarcastically as she glared at me. "Seriously Annile, I doubt this prince will choose anyone, It's just a publicity stunt"I told her bluntly, All the girls glared at me as I told them the honest truth.

"Excuse me"Penelope asked, I glared at her as her blonde hair was pushed into a firm bob, me and Penelope don't have a good history, in first grade she stole my crayons, in the second I chopped off some of her hair, third she broke my arm and fourth I broke her leg. I thought we we're okay after that in till the end of last year when she stole my boyfriend.

"You heard me Blondie"I spat, she raised her hand to slap me and I had my fist ready to punch when a horse jumped in front of us.

"Ladies, calm down"A deep voice chuckled, My narrowed eyes snapped to the horse's owner. My breath got caught up in my throat as I looked into those black eyes. He had black hair which was spiked back as tanned hand was resting on the reigns. He had a tight white shirt with a black jacket on, I could count those muscles in a second If I could. I licked my lips and shook all the thoughts out of my head as the girls giggled around him.

"I mean, those no point in fighting over me!"He laughed, Ego-centred Idiot. I scoffed slightly as I shook my head.

"fighting over you?! Please. Your not worth my time princey"I snorted at his expression, it was a mixture of confusion and shock.

"P-Pardon me?"He stuttered, I gave out an annoyed sigh. I'm sick of repeating myself.

"You heard me rich boy, now if you excuse me I have to go before my sister yells at me for nearly starting a fight"I excused myself and pushed my way out through swarms of girls as they desperantly wanted to see the douche.

I sighed, it's like being at a bloody Justin Bieber concert. I shivered at the mental image, God I hate that kid. I felt a gaze resting on my neck and resisted the urge to turn around and smack the the person, I let out a sigh and raised my hand, putting my middle finger up as I walked/ran away. I head gasps and a deep chuckle as I turned the corner. I let my hand fall down to my sides.

"Damn Prince"I muttered as I opened the door, to see Brandon playing with his toys, his dirty blonde hair shining in the light. He turned to me and smiled a childish grin.

"Did you buy cookies"He asked, his grey eyes shining in amusement. I shook my head with a small smile.

"Sorry Brandon, the wicked witch of the east would of had my head if she caught me buying them"I joked as Jessica walked down the stairs glaring at me.

"Wicked witch?"She asked, I gulped and quickly walked into the kitchen, leaving a laughing Brandon and an annoyed Jessica.

"Did you know?"I asked out the blew, the prince's face popping into my mind. Jessica walked into the kitchen sending me a confused look.

"Know what?"She asked as she sorted out the food.

"About the prince?"She sighed and nodded.

"I didn't tell you because I knew how you would react to the prince"She sent me a look and I bit back a snort.

"Yeah, yeah. It would of been nice to be told, I might of brushed my hair"I muttered sarcastically. Leaving the kitchen so Jess could sort it out in peace.

"Brandon if you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of my room"I yelled as I walked up the stairs. The prince's chuckle still ringing in my mind.
