We were becoming close
Michael and I
He worked at the Ice Cream Shop
While I finished my homework
At the shop
I was smiling a lot more
He brought a good change in me
But then in the midst of my fantasies
I remembered that nocturnal sky
Where I had laid weeping
And cursing myself
"Hey, I'm done, let me walk you home."
I snapped out of it
And looked at Michael
He was smiling at me
But when I didn't return it
His green eyes showed worry
But before he could ask what's wrong
I got up and walked away
While he yelled
"Zee what's wrong?"
While I ran
With tears
Thinking of how this friendship
Will end too.
