Sadness in The Air

There's sadness in the air…

I know it's all around, but I don't let her get me.

Something deep inside is pushing me to smile.

There’s a voice in my mind telling me I can’t cry.

Why don’t you have something like that deep inside?

Every time I see you, there’s a sorrow in your eyes.

What have they done to you? Who took away your smile?

I gave my best to make you happy, to turn you back to light.

The dark inside of you was so dense, not a thing was bright.

I gave my best, my time, my heart, all I had to give.

You never realized what have you meant to me.

You put that sadness in the air, and I couldn’t breathe.

I had to go…all your dark was killing the light in me.
