We had a love, we had a life,
But then it was all taken away.
I'm looking back at that time,
Once more I don't see what was bad.
I'm kneeling here, at our front door,
Thinking that you'll never walk through here.
It hurts so much, hope you can see,
I hope you're looking down on me.
This heart is broken,
All words are spoken,
Maybe I don’t want you to see…
What I’ve become since you’re not here.
There is no hope, but still I pray
That you’re not ashamed of me.
No, I don’t want you to see,
The life I live when you're not here.
All my mistakes, all my new fears,
All the changes I made here.
Maybe sometimes you look down,
But you can’t recognize me.
We had a life, you and I.
Now when alone, I don’t know to live.
We had a love you and I, now you are gone
But the love is still here, in me.
