Isabella’s POV
I sat by mother’s bed side. Maggie sat next to me. Her skin has gone pale. Maggie cried.
“I – Is she dead?”
“No,” I lied.
Tyler knocked on the door frame. I looked over and nodded for him to come in. He walked in and put his hands on my shoulders. “Can I talk to you?” He asked.
I nod and got up. We headed out to the hall.
“I talked to the doctor about your mother. He said that she’s not going to last much longer.”
I shook my head, “How?”
“He said because she’s lost a lot of blood over the past few days. I’m sorry, babe.”
Tyler wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. I dug my head into his chest. I heard the noise of the heart rate machine go off. Maggie screamed my name. I ran into the room the same time as the doctors. Tyler followed after me. The doctors tried everything to bring back my mother.
“No good,” A nurse said.
“Time of death, 9:23 A.M,” A doctor replied.
Maggie ran up to me a cried in my arms. “I’m sorry.”
This is the end. She managed a decent life.
