A million times I called for you

A thousand times I cried

I would say it was my fault but I tried

But my constant pleading didn’t stop your ways

You were in class A

Therefore you aren’t here today

I let tears cascade down

And I let whimpers overflow from my mouth like water in a beaker

I let myself take the pain

You are now gone

But why did you have to go and die?

Why ignore me and then say goodbye?

I just cant understand why you did it

It slides over my brain

I have searched the heavens

And asked God in the holy place

But the answer escapes my understanding

But now your bodies vacant

And your lips are ice blue

Your polluted emptiness seems all but unclean

All this sadness seems obscene

I stand and wait

I stand and watch

Your marble case placed under dirt

Then buried

A million times I told you did I not?

A thousand times you did
