For one second you feel like you can walk on water
Like you reach out to the moon and feel it in your hands
Like you rule the world
Then it all fades away
Washed away by the tide of time
Heaven falls from your arms
Whenever you say a prayer
Nobody hears it
Nobody cares
You feel the pain as your life falls apart
Something has changed
As have you
There is no other feeling quite like the world you know melting in a haze
Seeping through the cracks with a goodbye
You have to get used to the lonely feeling
To be alone
