~Prologue ~
I lowered my head in obedience, my arms wrapping around myself in vain of protection. Protection from him.
I bit down on my bottom lip hard, trying to stop the sobs from escaping. The sunlight shone through the enormous glass window, splashing the darkened room with the source of light.
I heard his sharp intake of breath.
'Ella-,'
I flinched at the sound of my name on his tongue. I shouldn't be feeling like this, I'm suppose to feel hatred, disgust...anything besides this fire igniting from the pit of my stomach.
'Ella...goddamit!' He whispered-shout in irritation.
I whimpered, fear sending uncontrollable tremble throughout my whole body. Tears fell down from my blinking eyes. But still, I refused to look up at him.
His steps came to a stop right on front of me. Please, no, please go away. I don't want you to see me like this.
But of course, wishes never comes true...right?
