I was ready.
I had everything planned. The note. The location. The time.
It was going to happen.
I drove to the spot. I knew no one would be here on a day like this. Cold. Wet. Dreary.
I took a deep breath.
I got out of my car and placed the note in the driver's seat. I walked slowly to the edge of the cliff.
I looked over the edge.
I saw nothing. And that's what I was. Nothing. I belonged here.
I closed my eyes.
I lifted my foot. Then I heard footsteps.
I turned around.
There was a girl. Running towards me.
I couldn't breathe.
I couldn't even plan my own suicide correctly. She makes her way to me.
Stay.
She says quietly. Her brown eyes plead with me.
I step off of the cliff.
