Once upon a time
We were two halves of a whole
You stole my heart
I gave you all my soul
You were my stars
I was your moon
Soft hand holding fragile parts
A past of broken bridges
Rebuilding, a brand new start
Once upon a time
We drifted apart
I lost my grip
You loosened your hold
Walking off the deep end
Not knowing how to swim
Once upon a time
Our love had gotten old
You couldn't stand my quirks
I couldn't stand the fights
Goodbye is not an option
My life a mirror of yours
Once upon a time
We finally fell
Blue skies passing thru my fingers
Gripping and grasping
Time to give in
Closing my eyes I say a final goodbye
After all, it was once upon a time...
