P.O.V. Luci

"I nullify you power, demon. I think I have enough bargaining power." Seth arrogantly stated.

Oh boy, he did not just say that.

I am not going to narrate the whole thing to you, it happened really fast and the outcome wasn't much of a surprise. There was blood, lots of it. Bones were broken, some shattered and egos were pulverized. It was beautiful.

The only boy not completely broken and bleeding was Nate who stood immobile in a fighter stance. He didn't even blink and by the colour of his lips, a weird shade of blue, he wasn't even breathing.

"Um, dad?"

He followed my gaze toward a bluish Nathan.

"Be free." Satan ordered.

I ignored the uncomfortable ache in my chest at the sight of Seth's limbs that laid there in angles that were not natural. He was a vampire, it took more than a couple of broken bones, bruises and a ruptured spleen to kill him off. Jake was another story, his legs looked boneless which probably meant severe shattered bones. I suppressed a laugh when I saw Vic's disbelieving pained gaze meet mine. Even without our demonic fire, we could still whoop those vampires asses.

Physically we had a much tougher make up than the angels, our blood was thicker, our bones stronger and our muscles were bigger. We were pretty much had the same physically fitness as fully turned vampire. The not fully turned vampires weren't as breakable as a human, but they still were nowhere near the strength of a demon, especially an ancient one like my dad.

Except for Jakes they would all be up and running in a couple of hours. Depending on their whining I might treat throw them a party and invite a bunch of dizzy bimbos who got off on a couple of leeches chomping on their necks.

I walked over to Nate and threw my arm around his shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

He stared at me with wide eyes.

"I couldn't move, Luci. I couldn't fucking move! Some demon told me to freeze and I couldn't even breath even though I was chocking!"

"Aw, did Satan step on your poor little bitty ego?"

"A demon made me-"

"I am not 'a' demon, boy. I am, as my daughter pointed out earlier, the demon. And you are but an untrained halfling. At his point even an incubi could have given you a command and you would have obeyed."

"That doesn't even make sense! I am half vampire, and vampires don't obey demons."

"You are not aware of what you are?" My father asked him.

"I am also half Spirit. And spirits are free, they especially don't answer to Hell!"

"What the hell is a Spirit?" I asked looking at my dad?

I had thought Nate was Fae, I had never heard of spirits before.

"A Spirit is a being trapped between Heaven and Hell. Spirits don't have a body, they are a presence that you can only feel when knew the spirit when it was still alive. I very much doubt you are that."

"Obi Sa Kan Tan, is there a thing you do not know?" I smirked.

"Then what am I?" Nate said, completely ignoring me.

I hoped he knew he was losing brownie points for this.

"Oh, I know that one, I know that one."

I screamed excitedly jumping up and down.
