~Angela's POV~

I managed to escape but just by the skin on my teeth.  Thank god I could run really fast.  I could've taken on that person, but considering the fact that I was scared for my life, I ran.

The next day at school, Lucille looked scarred for life in the hallways.  Her hair was like an atomic bomb, her clothes were on backwards, her shoes were on the wrong feet, and she was pale and weak.

I ran as fast as I could and dragged her by the elbow to where my locker was, which was shrouded by students as usual.  People were murmuring about her appearance.  She didn't look good at all.

"What the hell, girl?! You completely left me to die!" I yelled at her.  Her frail and pale body was trembling violently.  I suddenly felt guilty for yelling at her when she was in that state.

"Dudette, are you okay?" I asked.

"Well, if you think that sneaking out at 2:00 in the morning. and going to a secret hideout full of gangsters that nearly killed us is not going to shake me, then I don't know what will."  She kept rambling on and on.

"Technically, you left me to deal with that guy.  And he didn't do anything terrible to me.  He just told me to get out, that's all."

"That's not the point!"  She ripped out some of her hair and started hyperventilating.

While she kept ranting, I felt a pair of eyes on me.  I mean, there was a lot of people that were looking at Lucille, but the chilling feeling in my body wouldn't subside, so I turned around slowly.

~Victor's POV~

I was staring at the girl with the stunning eyes standing next to Lucille.  I wondered why Lucille was more popular than that girl, because the target was much prettier than Lucy.  But I had to terminate her permanently before she told someone.  Lucy wouldn't shut up about something and looked like a tornado hit her room, so I gazed at the other girl who had a worried look in her eyes.  To be honest, I don't understand why no one likes her.  She's actually quite pretty.  I dare say she is prettier than Lucille.  She has straight light brown hair  that reminds me of milk chocolate.  It looked positively exquisite, and her fierce gray eyes gave her a menacing aura.  I shook my head from these thoughts.  How was I going to get close to her?  I didn't want to look like a stalker, even though it wouldn't matter once I killed her.  I mean I had seen her for many years in middle and high school.  She just never noticed me.

I know.  I should get close to her.  Get to know her more.  That way I'll get information and my mission will be completed.

I smirked inwardly.  This was going to be a piece of cake.  Didn't girls swoon at the sight of me?  She would be just like any other girl; she'd look at me, fall hopelessly in love with me, and obey my every command.  Then I'd kill her when she least expected it.

Without thinking, I walked up to her and she quickly looked at me.  Lucille glared at me for a while, but walked away begrudgingly.

"Why are you here?" she snapped, as soon as Lucille left.  So much for hopelessly in love.  I honestly was ashamed to say that I flinched because damn this woman was scary.

"Hi.  My name is Victor.  Nice to meet you."  I smiled and offered her a hand shake, but she looked at my hand like it was a tarantula.  I slowly withdrew my hand and looked at my palm.  It wasn't dirty at all; in fact I had just washed it. Her piercing, and might I mention captivating, gaze met mine again.  Her eyes softened for a second.

"Hey, aren't you the guy who helped me up the other day?" She tilted her head a little to the side.

I tried to act nonchalant.  "You mean you're the girl who wiped her butt on the floor for five minutes?"  I chuckled at my own joke, but I saw her eyes grew steely and cold again.  Apparently this girl did not like being mocked.  I quickly wiped my smirk off my face and gulped audibly.

She crossed her arms and frowned.  "Nice to meet you, Victor, and thank you for helping me up the other day, but you didn't answer my question.  Why are you here?"

Because I'm here to kill you.
