Ghost-Course 4: Back Track to Kari's Past!!

~Saturday Fenton house 1:45 am~

Kari bolted up off her snow white bed and her blood-ruby red eyes shot open and filled with fear. She wanted to scream out in fear and terror but she remembered that she had to be quite because everyone was a sleep. She looked to her left and she saw in this order: Silver, Knuckles and Shadow. She looked to her left and saw Sonic then Tails. She looked straight ahead of her and saw Danny in his big bed and tucker in a greenish inflatable bed. Sam was with Jazz in her room. Kari sighed and hugged her knees, buried her head and cried silently not wanting to wake anyone up

“Th-that w-was t-terrible!!” she whispered to herself her voice a little raspy and filled with sorrow. She didn’t fall back asleep… she feared what she would see if she did…

~Saturday Fenton house 7:05 am~

When Danny woke up his eyes immediately looked at Kari who was crying her eyes out. He got up and sat next to her and hugged her

“Kari? You ok? Wanna talk about it?” Danny looked down at her as her red eyes slowly looked up as if she was asking ‘are your parents here?’ Danny smiled, got up and went to check. When he came back Jazz and Sam came back with him. They both rushed to her, knocking Sonic and Silver off their beds and causing a domino effect. Soon everyone was awake and surrounding Kari.  Danny nodded his head indicating Mr. and Mrs. Fenton were gone. Kari inhaled then screamed out

“I HAD THE WORST NIGHTMARE IN THE HISTORY OF WORST NIGHTMARES!!!” her eyes were red and swollen from crying and her voice quivered as if she had just come back from a funeral of someone dear to her “w-we were out battling Egg-man and some other guy and-and I was about to hit down Egg-man when th-the other guy punched me r-really h-hard in the s-stomach and I-I flew back in to a building and hung there just watching! Ev-everyone g-got mad and charged at th-them… I-I saw y-you all g-get h-hurt… and-and then…” her lip quivered and she started shaking at an image from her past “…Egg-man launched more missiles and hit you all down…” she buried her head even deeper as she remembered back when she was much, much younger. Sonic looked at down at her.

“Ok everyone except the girls out!” Jazz yelled and everyone ran out. Sonic sighed then plopped one the couch followed by Shadow, Knuckles, Tails then Silver. Danny and Tucker sat down next to them and looked at them.

“What’s wrong? Why is Kari so upset? Besides the nightmare…” Danny looked at Sonic who in turn sighed

“Kari never knew her parents… one of Egg-man’s robots went a-wall and burned down her house. She barely escaped and she tried to save her parents but what she saw was that her parents burned alive…” Danny and Tucker winced at what Sonic said while the others looked down sadly. Shadow and Knuckles were holding in their tears while Tails and Silver cried and sonic tried to calm them down. Kari had her head buried in Jazz’s chest as she and Sam comforted her.

“I-I miss m-my p-parents! I-I di-didn’t e-even g-get t-to say ‘I love you’ or even ‘good-bye’ n-no it-it just ha-happened!” their eyes widened and they knew what Kari was talking about

“It’ll be ok Kari… it’ll all work out… don’t worry…” Jazz stroked her head calming down Kari who soon fell asleep. Sam just looked at her sadly

“Poor Kari… no one should go through that at all!” Sam knew Kari was a good kid-cat-thing and was kind-of felt a little protective of her and Jazz felt the same! Back with sonic and the others Tails and Silver had calmed down a little. Sonic explained to Danny and Tucker about Egg-man and his whole arsenal of schemes that he tried, why he did them and all that fun stuff

“Whoa! An IQ of 300!” Tucker was astounded that someone had that kind-of smarts! But it was just sad that he got beat all the time!

“He should just stop while he’s still alive!” Danny crossed his arms and leaned back on his couch, sighed and started thinking about what life would be like without his family. Trying to see what she went through… and he didn’t like it much! This is terrible!! No one should endure this!! No one!!! That kept his mind occupied the whole day!
