By:me [decided to try writing a story myself, hope it isn't too shabby for a first try :) ] any comments on how it was would be appreciated :)

It is said that if you wake up a little past midnight without any reason whatsoever, it is due to your body alerting you to a potential threat. However, most of us quickly dismiss this as our brain fails to recognize any potential danger. How about that feeling of being watched when you are alone? Or the feeling that something is out to get you when you turn off all the lights and head to bed? All of these are examples of our bodies alerting us to a potential threat. You could call it our sixth sense. I'm not gonna tell you that a six foot maggot faced demon watches you when you sleep. I'm not gonna tell you that a creature with sunken eyes with tentacles as arms chases you as you journey to your bed after turning off all the lights. No..no.. its something much simpler... Something that you see in your daily lives resulting in your brain dismissing it as a potential threat. Let me give you a bigger hint.

What follows you in the day but disappears in the dark, with its whereabouts unknown?
