Chapter 4

        I pulled into the parking lot at the stadium. It was packed bumper to bumper with cars. I found a spot towards the back and locked up my car. Half the town is here I noticed as I surveyed the packed bleachers. There is no way that I can find Collin in this mess. On the way over I decided it was time for a change. I was tired of always being the good girl. So I decided that I could be a little bad, and still be considered good. I went to the concession stand to get a soda, then went to find a seat just as it was time to kick off. I spotted Emily on the sidelines with the other cheerleaders. She spotted me a gave me a wave. I waved back. The game was actually exciting and I found myself cheering loudly for our side. At halftime I still had not seen Collin. So I walked to the parking lot to grab my phone I forgot in the car. I had my head down not paying attention to where I was going when I collided with a wall. At least that is what I thought it was. Strong hands gripped my arms to steady me. I looked up and seen Collin grinning down at me.

“Whoa. You okay.” he chuckled.

“Oh. Sorry.” I replied as I stepped away from his touch.

I stood there not sure what to say. God, I feel stupid for running into him.

“Are you leaving?” he asked. He seemed sadden by this.

“No… I was just… going to get my phone.” I said.

“Good thing I ran into you then, you should be careful out at night.” he warned with a stern look.

My heart started beating overtime. He is so cute. I have never had a reaction to a guy like this before. He looked at me and asked “Instead of heading back to the game what do you say to going to get something to eat?” he looked at me hopeful.

I was still worried about getting hurt, but I wanted to go… and it would not be so bad. Who would turn down a chance to go out with a total hottie. Well not me.

“Actually that sounds great.” I nodded my head.

He seemed a little surprised. I suppose he thought I would turn him down.

We headed towards the back of the lot where we were both parked. When we got to his car he opened the passenger side for me, he promised we would come back to get my car later. As he slid into the drivers side he asked where I wanted to go, we decided on the pizza place across town.

While we waited for the pizza he asked me all kinds of questions. What was my favorite color, which is purple. What kind of music I like. I said that I liked all kinds of music as long as it has a good beat. What I like to do for fun. Read , watch movies, and go on nature walks. He kept me answering questions until the pizza came. Then we ate in silence for a few moments. Afterwards it was my turn to ask the questions. I found out we like the same kind of music, and his favorite color was blue. I asked how he was liking the town, and he told me a lot better now. Which had me blushing, and made him chuckle. When we finished up he insisted on paying the whole bill and then we made our way back to my car at the football stadium. Who would have thought he was such the gentleman.

“Thanks for dinner and the ride.” I said.

“Sure, my pleasure.” he replied as he got out to open my door.

We walked side by side to my car. He seemed reluctant to leave. I felt the butterflies start up in my stomach. The electric current that starts whenever Collin is near me started to spark. We leaned along the side of my car. The parking lot was deserted now that the game was over. I am sure that everyone is at the after game party. Who’s ever parents were out of town were left to host the party every Friday night.

“Well, I guess I better go.” I stated.

“Ok, I really had fun, I hate for it to end.” Collin said.

I realized that I was also sad to leave. The new bad girl in me felt like being naughty.

“Well, your more than welcome to come hangout at my house.” I offered. Yea right like he would be interested.

“Are you sure?” he asked as a crooked smirk broke out on his face.

Oh my god. He is sooo cute. Is he going to take me up on the offer. I felt my heart leap with excitement.

“Yea, it won’t be very exciting, but to be honest I have had fun hanging out with you.” I answered honestly.

So now here we are in my living room.

“Would you like something to drink?” I offered.

“No thank you.” “Why don’t you come sit by me.” he asked.

I made my feet move to the sofa where he was seated, and sat at the other end. He laughed and patted the spot beside him. So I scooted over to the next cushion. I looked down at my hands because my shyness was taking over. I felt him grab my arm and pull me closer. I looked at him with what I am sure was a deer in the headlights look.

“I meant for you to sit next to me.” he stated as he gave me an easy smile.

I looked up at him and our gazes locked. I noticed his eyes dart down to my lips then back to my eyes. My heart started to speed up as he moved closer to me. Just as our lips were about to touch he stopped, and put his forehead on mine. Almost as if he was trying to restrain himself. His warm hands had come up to cup my cheeks. I am sure my face was bright red from the blush, because I could feel it.

“Would you mind if I kiss you?” he asked.

My throat was so dry that all I could do was shake my head no. I am sure with the quiet of the room he could hear my heart about to tear out of my chest. Then he lowered his head and touched his lips to mine lightly. The moment his lips made contact with mine a spark of energy went through me and I lost all control of my brain. My arms wrapped around his body as I smashed myself against him. He deepened the kiss and ran his tongue along my bottom lip asking for entrance. Of course I allowed him. All too soon he pulled back. I still had my eyes closed. When my brain started to work again I opened my eyes and there staring back at me were the silver- blue eyes of my dream.
