Chapter 8

"My flair, my flair" I heard the voice of Nodin as my consciousness returned, I uncovered my ears and hit who ever touched me before seeing Nodin kneeling beside me, my breathing was heavy and a pool of blood was underneath me

Nodin studied me, he looked worried but also saddened "I can't hear" I said before freezing again, hearing my own voice, Nodin moved closer slightly, his movements slow and cautious, the queen knelt beside me and stroked my hair behind my ear "flair sweetheart how are you feeling?" She asked, I shook my head before suddenly hugging Nodin, I was straddling him as my arms wrapped as round his neck in a death grip hug

"What happened?" I whispered "your evil self is gone flair, she's gone" he whispered "oh my flair" he added in a sigh before lightly leaving a sweet kiss on my neck, tears streamed down my face as pain still seeped through my bones and chest "thank you" I said holding out my hand to the queen, she grabbed my hand and lightly kissed it, then I passed out again.

I woke to Nodin holding my hand, I sat up quickly and he looked at me "are you still in pain?" He asked, I shook my head and he smiled, relief washing over his face "Flair, you are okay now, you won't have any problems anymore" he said whispered stroking my cheek, my lip trembled as I fought back tears.

I was scared, I was scared shitless because I knew I didn't have control over my evil self, she could have killed the queen, my friends, Nodin and I couldnt have stopped it

"Where is she?" My voice breaking and shaking with this fear that continued to eat away at my body "the queen banished her from the grounds but sadly she put up a fight which took it's toll on you" he said, a unwanted frown appeared on my face, and even when I tried to put a smile on, the corners of my mouth failed me.

"You're safe now" he whispered, noticing my unfading frown, I nodded knowing I couldn't speak because if I did, I would breakdown, I felt Nodin's thumb stroke across my cheek bone and he frowned, tears must have fell from my eyes without me noticing, I slowly lifted my hand to his and closed my eyes "I'm scared Nodin" I finally said breaking down.

Maria looked at me as I hit the punching bag over and over

"Flair?"

HIT

"are you okay?"

HIT HIT HIT HIT

"Speak to me flair"

HIT HIT HIT HIT HIT HIT

"Flair-" Maria began before I slammed her body into the nearby wall "stop asking me that!" I screamed choking her "flair...let .. me ... Go" she chocked out as my grip tightened, "Flair!" A new voice echoed through the hall, I bit Maria and pulled away ripping flesh with me making her scream

"Flair?"

HIT HIT

I hugged the punching bag and breathed heavily as I realised it was just my mind playing tricks, I looked over and Maria smiled slightly "speak to me" she repeated, I released the punching bag and backed away slightly

"Flair what's wrong?" She asked, I heard a noise and looked at Maria "do you hear that?" I shouted "why are you shouting flair?" She asked quietly "what?!" I shouted, she jumped back slightly and shook her head "oh no" she whispered "Nodin! My queen! Anyone help!" I heard her scream before I fell to the ground and screamed as I heard my voice but it wasn't me

"You think you could get rid of me that easily"

The voice cackled, I screamed again and opened my eyes slightly seeing Maria screaming still running around the gym

"I am you, You can't kill me!"

The voice roared, I coughed violently blood spraying everywhere

"But I will kill you"

The voice screamed, as I gasped trying to breath, I couldn't breath and that was odd because I never did before, I coughed again but now it was more strained

Maria was gone now and I was somewhere different, it looked like a cave, I slowly stood up and came face to face with myself "you will never defeat me flair, because you can't kill yourself" she smiled at me, her voice still in my head "leave me alone!" I screamed only to be laughed at "not as long as you're alive my flair" she mimicked Nodin name for me, I clenched my fists and ran forward hitting her, it soon became us both hitting, kicking, scratching skin off the body and biting, until I fell exhausted

"I love you Nodin" I whispered before grabbing a stake and ramming it into my own heart, I was sucked into the darkness and finally came back to the gym, Maria was crying as I looked up at her "she's gone" I groaned "what?" She asked "she gone, I killed her" I whispered before looking down seeing the stake in my chest as my skin began to turn grey

I looked around and seen the others in the gym on the ground groaning "Nodin?" I whispered feeling my body beginning to shut down "I couldn't find him" she cried "I love you babe" I whispered "don't go please!" She cried "Nodin" Maria said looking away from me "My Flair" he whispered, I heard his footsteps approach then he looked at me

"She was having a fight with nothing before plunging that into her heart" Maria explained as my body was a limp mess, I wasn't able to move anymore "Maria we need to work together" Nodin said before I closed my eyes darkness covering me, silence greeting me.

Flair has no luck at all
And Nodin is always having to save her in some way.
