Chapter 11

"Trishalyn? Hi this is Claude, how are you beautiful?"

I rolled my eyes so hard they almost fell out.

Why would he call now instead of yesterday when I needed him?

Getting my attitude in check I responded "I'm great just woke up but I'm good..."

"Well that's good to hear, I was just quickly calling to invite you on a formal date....honestly can't stop thinking about you."

I rolled my eyes again.

If he was really thinking about me he would have called YESTERDAY!
"Aww....that's sweet. I'd love to accompany you... what do you have in mind?" I continued in a fake sweet tone.

I'm like seriously bitter he called today and not yesterday.

"Well....I was thinking I'd take off work Saturday and I could show you a really good time."

"A good time being...?"

"A surprise," He laughed at me, "You'll have a ball, trust me."

Hesitantly I accepted, "I hope you don't plan to murder me or anything of that sort Claude." I joked.

"You're to cute to kill." He said cheekily.

He is so cheesy I couldn't help but crack a grin.

"You're so Cheesy." I giggled

He chuckled.

"So, I'll pick you up at 7 on Saturday okay, dress comfortable, no heels please."

"Oh lord what am I getting myself into."

He laughed again.

"Trust me, see you Saturday Trishalyn."

"See you."

The line went dead after that.

Welllllllll it's been about a week and a half and I have two dates.

I smiled at the thought of how soon my rebound was coming.

Then I frowned at how one of my options are being forced!

Greg is cool. Hot, yes indeed.

But- He's just not my type.

too prosperous My mind rang out to me.

I rolled my eyes.
What's the plan for today....

Do I have work?

I checked my schedule.

All I have to do today is go to a meeting with my publisher.

Greg's mom.

I got up in hopes to get ready to leave...

But Layla was curled up on my rug just staring at me.

Ugh... I need to feed her.

I went and retrieved food for the pug. Layla devours canned dog food.

While she ate I went into my bathroom, put on my face, and threw some soft wand curls in my hair.

then I went on and found an outfit fit for seeing my publisher.

A button-up blouse and a skirt should do. I got dressed and added Black pumps.

Checking myself out in the mirror before leaving, I decided I look decent enough.
The drive to my publishers home wasn't long... she lives like right down the street from Darla which is right down the street from me, except she has the biggest house on the block.
