Your hurt is my pain,

Your torment is my guilt,

Your suffering is my strain,

Your loneliness is my fault.

To see you cry, Is torture,

To see your fake smile, I cringe,

To see your heart so pure,

To see it completely unhinge.

I hate to see you like this,

I hate to see you broken,

I hate to see what you've missed,

I hate to see it time and again.

I wish I could bring you happiness,

I wish I could make you forget,

I wish you could just start out fresh,

I wish I could press the reset.

But I can't do it,

I can't fix your hurt,

I can't make you quit,

I can't make time revert.

I'm sorry for failing you,

I'm sorry for not being there,

I'm sorry I can't be your rescue,

I'm sorry I can't compare.
