Author's Note

Ok... So I made another poem whilst listening to Skinny Love (Birdy's version) and What the Water Gave Me. This is kinda sad and all but I put a lot of feeling into it and hope that you like it!!!

Thanks,

Let Me Drown

Let me drown,

Before I fall,

Into this dark abyss.

Let me feel the pain,

The pain that overwhelms my heart,

The pain after that kiss.

Let the water take me,

Give my body to its ravaging hunger,

Satisfy the greed the blue enlists.

Let my foot wonder,

Wonder into the lapping sea,

Don't try to resist.

Let the only sound,

Be the soft gush of water,

As it takes me with a hiss.

Let the water push,

Push down on my dress,

Cause it to billow without cease.

Let the water rush,

Rush into my lungs,

Down my throat turning it cerise.

Let my vision blur,

Salt destroying cells,

Erasing the memory that persists.

Let me regret,

Regret what I have done,

Before I reminisce.

Let me remember,

When I first saw you,

And the small little box and what it consists.

Let me despise,

The times that we fought,

But treasure those times of bliss.

Let the water grab me,

Tug my limp body down,

Darkness swirl around, amiss.

Let the piano play,

Soft notes to match the beats,

The beats of my heart which barely exists.

Let my love fly,

Release my grip,

When was our skinny love dismissed?

Let me go,

Accept my choice,

Allow the water to claim me with remiss.

Let the waves thrash,

Thrash against my skin,

Harm it in everyway that it insists.

Let me drown,

Let me go,

Let me feel the pain of this woe.

Let my love fly,

Let my body die.

But please just let me breakdown,

Please let me drown.
