At the heart of Milishial government and power, Albion Castle, several Milishial high-ranking officials gathered after countless hours of meetings held since the beginning of the war against Annonrial and the strange occurrence of a gigantic magic circle in orbit, followed by massive energy influx originating in the east, especially in the location they deemed to be the mainland of ASEAN.

Agra Brinston, the Chief of the Minister of National Defense of the Holy Milishial Empire, stood across the seat in the meeting area, on the left of the emperor, who looked at him with a serious expression.

"Here's what we've discovered for the past week, which we believe the Annonrials, those damned birds, are also attempting to uncover," he said as he ordered the distribution of papers and a holographic video appearing in the middle. "Some unknown event triggered a massive energy outburst in orbit. We believe it was Mystar being activated, creating massive long-range communication disruption and even interfering with our magitech equipment, and strongly believe, Annonrial is experiencing similar disruption or weapon malfunction as us. As of today, there have been no reported naval combat with the Annonrials, but two isolated cases of several Alpha V and VI units engaging in combat against high-altitude fighters, leading to some losses on our side."

"Activation of Mystar? Does it mean the Ravernals have returned?" one of them asked in fear, realizing they were locked in conflict with the Annonrials and not wanting to fight a war that would strain their already stretched forces defending the continent. Low murmurs and chatter soon filled the room as they expressed their fears and anxieties. If it had indeed happened, they feared they might fall into slavery like their former ancestors.

"According to the myths, once the Ravernal returns, the world will tremble and the sky will pour down an unstoppable rain of fire from the heavens, and there's none. There's abnormal seismic activity that shouldn't be happening at the moment, but there's been no rain of fire causing immeasurable destruction, none reported in the east or west," Agra countered. "As of now," he concluded.

"But there's one in Philades," the Liage Minister of Milishial Foreign Affairs interjected. "They saw suns appear in the nighttime, balls of bright lights that descended from the heavens, followed by Mana comms interruptions and the destruction of all magitech equipment in a radius of over 100 kilometers on the battlefield of the Southeast Asians and the so-called Northern Coalition."

"In Philades, that incident. We believe ASEAN is gaining momentum and ground at an abnormal rate that S'vam, the dogs of Annonrial, resorted to using core magics to stop their advance, and we believe ASEAN intercepted all dangerous core magics with precision—those were ballistic weapons intercepted at an estimated altitude of 50,000 to 120,000 feet in the sky," Agra stated, leaving everyone incredulous at the word "intercepted." They had the ability to intercept core magics, but those flying at low altitudes, akin to cruise missiles and anything like ballistic missiles would be even more difficult to intercept. They would have to fire volleys, and the shotdown rate was quite dubious as to whether they could hit them at all.

Even their fastest core magic missile interceptors barely reached Mach 3, while some core magics, especially ICBM class, could reach an outstanding Mach 6 during ascending flights and three times faster at the terminal phase. Their interceptors would simply be left in the dust attempting to shoot them down. Thus, everyone looked at the report appalled. ASEAN, a non-magical civilization, was able to withstand and even wipe out an attack that would be near impossible to stop with the current Milishial military capability, the country hailed as the strongest and most advanced in the world.
