Rae's Undying Love for Claire

Chapter 16

The Accident:
As Rae tried to hide in the shadows she realized
that at this point anyone would be surprised
to find her there.
"Well, Well if it isn't the one we were
just talking about." Manaria said pointing
out the obvious.
Then at that moment Manaria, Rod,Thane, and Yu saw Rae in the shadows. Misha covered her face while Claire was drinking some punch not aware
that Rae was there at the dance.
As Rae looked around at everyone hoping
to find the spy that killed Claire
in the game version.
Would the same thing happen in this world?
What Rae didn't know was that people
were already staring at her.
When Rae turned around to look at everyone
she spotted Claire at the refreshment table
having a drink.
"Oh no Rae why are you here?" Misha whispered
"Is that you Rae?" Rod asked
"Hey Claire, Rae is finally here." Misha said
"Silence don't say a single word." Claire said
It was too late as Claire saw Rae
standing in front of her.
"C-Commoner-I mean Rae you made it." Claire said
"Of course I did Miss Claire." Rae said
"Well what took you so long to get here?"
Claire asked
"Homework. Anyway
I'm came here to look for a spy." Rae replied
"Huh what do you mean Commoner?" Claire asked
"Don't worry I'm on the case Miss Claire."
Rae replied
"That aside why aren't you dressed for the dance?" Claire asked
"You see I had to hurry and get here that I forgot all about getting changed before coming here."
Rae replied
"What kind of fool would do such a thing?"
Claire asked
"Me Claire I'm your fool." Rae replied
"Don't say that like it's a good thing
You should be ashamed of yourself." Claire said
"That's my Claire." Rae said
"Ugh I keep forgetting about the way you would react to the things I say and do to you." Claire said
"Hmmm it seems like things are going well here.
I better go now." Rae said
"No wait Rae why don't you stay
so we can dance together?" Claire asked
"No Miss Claire this isn't the right time for us to dance plus I'm not even dressed
properly for the dance." Rae replied
"Don't worry about anything at all
so just come over here and do as I say."
Claire demanded Rae
"I'm sorry Claire I have to go now." Rae said
"Oh no you don't get back over here Commoner!" Claire shouted
"Stop it Claire just let her go." Manaria said
"S-Sister I'm sorry but I have to go after her."
Claire said
"No you don't Claire. So come with me and relax." Manaria said
"Leave me alone, Manaria. Claire said
It shocked everyone what Claire did to Manaria
"I-I didn't know you had this side to you Claire." Manaria said
That's when Claire remembered when Rae said
she knew everything about her.
It's true I haven't shown this side of myself to anyone other than Father, Lene, and Rae.
"Listen to me enough about Rae,
you need to move on from her Claire.
Anyway I should've done this a long time ago." Manaria said
"No wait. What are you doing Manaria?
Don't do anything to Rae." Claire said
"Why is everyone into this Rae girl anyway? It's time for me to end this once and for all." Manaria said
Manaria walked up behind Rae as she started
having a conversation with her. That's when it happened Manaria pushed Rae off the stairs but Claire jumped after Rae.
"Ahhhh Miss Claire are you ok?" Rae asked
"Ouch! Who do you think you are talking to?"
Claire asked
Both Rod and Misha went to go see if
Rae and Claire were alright.
"W-Why did you come after me Miss Claire?"
Rae asked
"Y-You idiot! What were you thinking?" Claire asked
"Huh what are you talking about Miss Claire?"
Rae asked
"N-Nothing. G-Get off of me Commoner!"
Claire shouted
"Oh I'm so sorry Claire. Anyway you
shouldn't have come after me." Rae said
"I can't let anything happen to you Rae."
Claire said
It was the first time Claire actually called the commoner girl Rae. She gasped at Claire just did.
"W-What's wrong Commoner?" Claire asked
"Huh oh it's nothing Miss Claire." Rae replied
"Humph whatever Commoner. Ouch!"
Claire screamed
"Oh no what's wrong Miss Claire?" Rae asked
"It's my arm." Claire replied
"Here let me see. I can heal you up Miss Claire."
Rae said
"What no absolutely not Commoner!" Claire shouted
"You have no choice Miss Claire." Rae said
"R-Rae thank heavens you are ok." Misha said
"Yeah I'm glad you're alright." Rod said
"Claire hey Claire are you ok?" Thane asked
"T-Thane is that you?" Claire asked
"Yes it's me Claire I'll carry you to the church. I'm sure they will be able to heal you up over there." Thane replied
"T-Thank you Thane. Hey
Rae come with me please." Claire said
"Of course Miss Claire I'm right behind you."
Rae said as she took Claire's hand and held it tightly.
"I'm right here Miss Claire." Rae said
"How could you do something like
that to Rae, Manaria?" Rod asked
Manaria laughed
"I had to do it because Rae
is the one who stole what's mine?" Manaria replied
"You mean Claire?" Misha asked
"Exactly Claire is mine but that girl
snatched her away from me." Manaria said
"No Manaria you tried to hurt an innocent girl
who loves Claire with all her heart." Rod said
"Do you actually believe that Rod?" Manaria asked
"Yes I do Manaria. Listen we will tell the king about this incident and let him decide the
punishment for your crime." Rod replied
"R-Rae can you hear me?" Misha asked
"M-Misha?" Raw asked
"Yes Rae it's me. How are you feeling?" Misha asked
"I'm ok where's Miss Claire?" Rae asked
"She's in the infirmary right now I didn't even know that Manaria was going to push down the stairs.
"It's a good thing Claire was there to save you." Misha said
"Yeah Claire saving me was so amazing to see."
Rae said with a smile on her face
"R-Right anyway Manaria will get what she deserves for what she did to you." Manaria said
"Good I hope she's exiled from the Bauer Kingdom." Rae said
"We'll have to wait to hear the news
about Manaria's punishment." Misha said
"Can I go see Miss Claire now?" Rae asked
"Not yet since they are still doing surgery
on Claire's arm." Misha replied
"Oh I see so I have to wait to see her." Rae said
"Yes that's right you do." Misha said
"Well that's no fun." Rae said
"Rae you have to let the doctors and
healers do their job." Misha said
"I will Misha." Rae said
"Gee I wonder if you can keep that promise Rae." Misha said
"What you don't believe me Misha?" Rae asked
"Nope not at all Rae." Misha replied
"Why not Misha?" Rae asked
"Because I know exactly what you want to do." Misha said
"I promise I won't see Claire." Rae said
"Fine I'll help you up Rae." Misha said
"Oh t-thank you Misha." Rae said
"No problem, you're welcome Rae." Misha said
"Actually I want to get Claire a get well gift."
Rae said
"A what Rae?" Misha asked
"Oh I meant getting her a gift
to help her get better." Rae replied
"Ok Rae I'll go with you." Misha said
"No Misha it would be  better if you
stayed here with Miss Claire." Rae said
"Very well Rae I'll make sure that Claire gets better." Misha said
"Good. Thank you Misha. Well I'm off."
Rae said
"Bye. Be careful out there Rae." Misha said
"Don't worry I will Misha I'll be just fine." Rae said
"Yeah that's what worries me the most." Misha said
Rae ran out the door as she went to go buy
some flowers for Claire.
