⚠️TW: Assault
Angie was sitting in the locker room. They had won another game and Angie was dissociating. Emilio and her relationship had gotten better but it caused her to be away from her family. She has spent more time with his mom than her own family. Angie was supposed to go to a party with Emilio for his stepdad but her depression had been getting worse.
She felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned. It was India and Monica.
"Hey, we're about to leave. You're still in your towel" India noticed
"Sorry, I can get dressed" she replied, looking through her duffle bag
"Do you have an outfit for this weekend?" Monica asked, leaning against the locker
"No, I would figure it out" Angie answered, putting on her shirt
"Are you coming home tonight?" India asked
"Yeah, has everything been okay?" Angie questioned
"We are fine but are you. You look tired, is everything okay with Emilio? If you need help getting out of the relationship, we can help you" Monica worried
Angie sighed "I'm okay, Emilio and I are perfect nonetheless. We patched up the holes in the relationship and we are stronger than ever" Angie reassured tying her shoe
Angie got up and walked with them to the car. Angie had listened to Emilio, separating herself from the Santos. It's been draining to ignore Sad Eyes and Miguel but she wanted her relationship to work.

Angie was at Geny's house eating in the dining room. Geny and Abuela sat beside her and looked at her.
"Mija what's wrong?" Geny asked
"Nothing wrong, why has everyone been saying that?" Angie questioned
"Because you look depressed. Are you and Emilio okay?" Abuela asked
"We're fine, I promise" she smiled, sipping her water
"No, you're not fine. Oscar cheated on you and you still put a smile on your face so what's really going on?" Abuela interrogated
"He said he loved me and I didn't say anything. I stood there like a deer in headlights" Angie confessed "I talked to him for months before we decided to get together and when we did, everything changed"
"Mija" Geny mumbled
"He doesn't respect my boundaries. I told him I don't like yelling in cars and he argues with me in the car. He blames me for things I can't control" Angie explained, her voice cracking
"He doesn't put his hands on you?" Abuela asked
"No of course not. That would make me leave him. Why are you asking that?" Angie asked
Geny and Abuela looked at each other "Tell her" Abuela said
Geny sighed and grabbed Angie's hand "That's how it started for your mom. Camila was a wonderful woman but was poisoned by your father. I don't want that happening to you"
"It won't. I feel like he put a curse on me. I can't find love. All I deal with is pain and depression in relationships" Angie teared up
"No, you aren't cursed. You don't know how to accept love from a man. Oscar loves you and if you say Emilio loved you then he does. You need to learn how to accept that love" Geny explained "You are so worthy of love"
