EYES ARE WINDOWS TO THE SOUL

Ian maintained his distance and observed the unfolding interaction between Lara and Theo without getting involved. "Let's refocus on what matters. What's the latest update with you, Theo?" Lara inquired about Theo's problem.

"Once, I told you about my feelings for a girl in my office that I've been crushing on," Theo revealed, experiencing a cathartic release.

"Yes, girl you mentioned from the office," Lara acknowledged.

"Exactly," Theo confirmed by shaking his head. "It's difficult to express my feelings to her, but I collected some information about her. Now, it feels like it's all been a waste," he sighed, a sense of disappointment evident in his voice.

"Theo, spill all the all the beans with me. I want to hear the complete story of when and where you first saw her and what has happened since then.

Did you eventually gather the courage to ask her out?"

Lara asked, eager to hear the unfolding tale of Theo's romantic journey. Theo paused for a moment. As he took a deep breath, Theo started recounting the story to Lara, taking her back to a moment that happened exactly two weeks ago.

Despite keeping his eyes closed, Ian remained attentive and alert, capturing every word that filled the air, even with his headphones on.

By heightening his senses, Ian was fully present and aware of what was going on around him. This indicates that he likely possesses excellent executive functioning and selective attention. These cognitive abilities enable him to efficiently manage his attention, to focus on relevant information, and to filter out distractions. I think he thought it made him look cool, but really, he just looked like a DJ with headphones on. Let us get back to him some other time.

Let's see what happens to Theo

It was a beautiful evening,

Not for me; I think it was around six o'clock when I came out from the manager. The manager's words echoed in my mind like a warning bell.

"Theodore, if you screw up this time, I'll fire you right away. Keep that in mind." I was already nervous, but now I sweated with fear. And I forgot to ask about the project file. When I walked back to the manager's room, the room was completely covered in mirrors. It was as if I was in a fishbowl, exposed for everyone to see. However, I had no gills to swim and escape the suffocating pressure.

It was one of those hellish moments in my life, and he started lecturing again. In this overwhelming experience, I reminded myself to stay focused. I took a deep breath, ground myself, and tried to absorb whatever advice the manager gave me. I needed some angels to help me out of the situation. And I know angels don't exist.

I realized my manager's so-called advice was nothing but harassment. The room fell silent, and I could only hear the sound of my heart beating in my chest. I had no idea why, and suddenly a distinct footstep echoed through the office, racing my heart even faster. A shadow fell on the wall, and an angelic presence entered the room.

The woman, with her hair resembling a soft white cloud, donning a chic gray outfit and stylish glasses, reminded me of Selena Gomez from her 2009 era. As our eyes met, a magical connection seemed to spark between us. In that instant,

I felt like I had stepped into a fairytale, and it made the entire environment around us fade into a distant blur. The presence of the manager and the fishbowl office disappeared into the background, leaving only the two of us at this moment.

At that moment, her eyes whizzed past me like never before. They were like angelic feathers gracefully placed horizontally. Those angelic eyes seemed to hold millions of emotions, hinting at secrets and stories yet to be told.

He quoted "Khaled Hosseini, the famous Afghan-American novelist who once wrote, People say that eyes are windows to the soul.

I agree with him that eyes are like windows to a soul that holds mysteries and desires waiting to be explored. Through his words to Lara and Ian, the invisible liner, Theo expressed his current situation uniquely.

Time slowed down, and the hustle and bustle of the world around us faded into the background. In that magical moment, it felt like I was transported to a different world. I think I've been traveling to the multiverse. I think she possesses power like Doctor Strange. Theo laughs and is excited.

Our shared connection made her smile as she winked both eyes at me. As our eyes locked, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and bliss. It was as if the whole world had faded away. The blush on my face betrayed the depths of my feelings, like an open book revealing the chapter of my emotions. As I eventually broke eye contact and returned to the flow of the world around us, the blush on my face never stopped. However, the memory of that magical moment is stored in the long-term memory.

Lara leaned in, eager to hear. So, did you make a move? Did you talk to her? Lara asked with a ton of excitement on her face.

Ian sat there with his headphones on, nodding his head to the beat. With no music, he mastered pretending to be cool and nonchalant. It was a clever disguise to signal that he was not interested in the conversations going on around him. He couldn't help but make a snap judgment based on Theo's appearance and conversations with Lara.

"Despite the world falling apart, this man never made a move on her,"

Ian thought to himself, feeling a sense of familiarity with Theo's personality. The fear of rejection and self-doubt surrounded him like a shadow, holding him back from taking that leap of faith and approaching her for a deeper conversation, even though they had the same vibe.

Lara inquired with a playful glint in her eyes, "You didn't make a move, did you, Theo?"

In response to the question, Theo expressed a mix of embarrassment and amusement.

"Well, you see," he began, "I was hesitant at first. The fear of rejection and self-doubt got the better of me."

Ian laughed in his mind as he heard the comment: "I know I'm the same kind of person as you are. Why am I talking to myself? It feels good to talk to yourself, though I feel like Thomas Selby's dialogue: "This is just myself, talking to myself about myself."

"Yes, I did make a move on her, Lara," Theo said

Ian couldn't believe his ears. "Whattttttttt?" he exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock, but he tried to appear cool. His mind raced with curiosity and excitement, wanting to know all the details of how it happened and how Theo mustered the courage to take that leap. Ian couldn't help but feel a mixture of surprise and admiration.

"That's fantastic to hear, Theo!" "I knew you had it in you!" Lara exclaimed with a bright smile and took a deep breath. Her eyes twinkle with delight.
