She's got the kind of voice to make the angels cry

It brings me to my knees and I don't know why

She's a bad girl and let's the whole world see

These visions in my head, what could they be

Her hands are ripping and shaking, these chances we're taking

All the rules that I've learned, she's finally got me breaking

And I can't believe that it's come to this

The things she can do with a single kiss

She's bad poetry, bad poetry

All the feelings that she makes flow through me

I can't trust myself it seems

'Cause if she's a drug, then I'm a fiend

It's bad poetry, bad poetry

She makes the angels cry "woe is me"

A devil in a new dress, I know

But when she takes me by the hand, I have to go

It's a dark night, she drops her leather jacket

The neighbors keep yelling "quit with the racket"

But we can't stop, we're all hands and tongues

She's pressed against the wall where boyfriend's picture is hung

And I don't know how it got this way

It's obvious in the morning she won't want me to stay

But her smile has all the angels crying

And every man she's rejected wished he was dying

She's bad poetry, bad poetry

All the feelings that she makes flow through me

I can't trust myself it seems

'Cause if she's a drug, then I'm a fiend

It's bad poetry, bad poetry

She makes the angels cry "woe is me"

A devil in a new dress, I know

But when she takes me by the hand, I have to go
