Secrets- prologue and introduction

Secrets.

"Everybody has secrets, Felix. Why am I suddenly obliged to tell you all of mine?" Chan spoke, an unidentified emotion ridden in his tone. It might've been anger, stress or even fear. Who knows?

"You nearly died, Chan!" Felix cried, burning tears rolling down his cheeks with every sob he choked out. "I don't expect you to tell me every single little thing but this is a different situation!"

"It's not."

"It's not?" Felix took a deep breath and roughly wiped his tears away with the backs of his hands. "YOU FUCKING IDIOT! YOU NEARLY DIED! NONE OF US CAN BARE TO LOSE YOU! WE CAN'T!" He took a few steps closer to the male, the cold wind harshly battering against his skin. "Chris, I can't bare to lose you."

Chan didn't speak. He didn't look into Felix's eyes. He just stared directly at the ground. He didn't let Felix see the tears that were welling into his own eyes. He couldn't break the boy more. One of them was already shattered into pieces, he couldn't let it happen to them both.

"Chris?" Felix muttered, just audible within the sounds of the whistling wind and the now clattering rain. "Chris. Speak to me, please."

He didn't. He... couldn't. He physically couldn't get the words out. Whatever those words were, whatever he wanted to say. Whatever he needed to say. Maybe 'I love you' or maybe 'I never want to see you again'. Both were somewhat factual statements at most.

"Chris?" It broke him, it shattered him more. It crushed the tiny pieces that were left of him into shards you could only see under a microscope, at the sound of Felix crying.

He couldn't handle it, so he just shook his head and walked away.

INTRODUCTION

Hi! Welcome to Secrets. A story about a group of four music and four theatre students at an Australian university that were made to work on a musical theatre project together. Except there's love, drama, growing up and keeping secrets too. Yes. It will be angsty, I think the prologue gave that away but there will also be a lot of fluff and fun! I like to link my stories to a song but this one will have a playlist! I'll put a song at the start of each chapter and name the chapter after it! Here's a few notes, the character introductions and other details:

Notes:

- ships are: Chanlix (Chan and Felix), Hyunminsung (Hyunjin, Minho and Jisung), Seungin (Seungmin and I.N)
- set in Australia
- I changed the ages and age gaps, the nationalities (of some members) and made some (most, actually) characters neurodivergent
- This is purely fictional, I do not claim to know the members nor their sexualities and identities and I do not believe I correctly portrayed the member's personalities
- I am neurodivergent myself (Autistic and ADHD) and so I am basing the neurodivergent characters off of myself and/or what I know
- I am confident in my writing skills but I am always willing to improve and consider this my hobby.
