Introducing Flora Foundry (FF) AU || The first ever Sonic AU I have created :)

Ha....after a whole month or two. It finally clicked.

I shall now show some fragments of the first ever Sonic AU I have created...

Date of the creation of the AU: 4/12/24

Just drew a future scene for the story/AU. And  honestly, I took way too much time on this. I spent just about 11 hours and 30 minutes in this piece of drawing according to ProCreate- I wasn't originally  going to put this much effort but uhhh here we are-

Though I didn't study the characters enough that's for sure too. I probably didn't add in the accurate dialogues for these two geometric comedians but hey, I tried my best here. I can do better next time too if it's off character :')

Alright. So the concept I have so far for this AU (I'll try not to reveal toooo much though-) is that all the Eggforces, including the badniks, Metal, Orbot, and Cubot no longer remembers Eggman due to a certain incident I'm still coming up with a solution for-. Like his existence is just completely gone from their memory file. But, their initial coding is kind of lingering there except with no sense of direction or strict command to lead it.

This leaves to literally all the Eggforces/badniks  kind of wandering around the areas, doing their own thing and trying to develop a sense of goal of why they were created in the first place. Eventually they will stick to their initial codes in some ways but it's more like the purpose of their initial coding has been altered by the surroundings around them. No this does not necessarily mean that they rebelled to their own code like Omega did. It was simply adapted into a different sense of perception and environment for a different purpose. If I do initially write the story soon, I'd say it'll make much more sense then. But for now you just got the brief explanation.

And while this strange event happens, some disease coming from unnatural pollens also broke out at the same day all the eggforces has lost their memories. This strange pollen, first of its symptoms is when being touched or inhaled by any of the  living organisms who is not immune to it will start to melt. Literally. This can include the insides and most commonly affected on the skin and flesh.

The Master and Chaos emeralds seems to be the only things being able to create this force field that pushes the disease/pollen away around their area.

Basically this is a story where technology and nature itself is forced to kind of converge ( I guess?)in a way where they have to balance and work together to preserve the ecosystem or survival in general. And that is all I'm gonna reveal of this story for those who were interested enough to read it. Hopefully it's not cliche or the idea is taken- this will be the first time I have ever created an AU coming from a very large and popular fandom :')

And uhh for this who's wondering what those rectangular things in Cubot's hat is, those are just his past voice chips because why not-

I don't have much ideas on what to do with the other sonic characters yet till further studies but I gotta say, I'm glad I was able to make Cubot and Orbot's AU designs since I don't really see a lot of their alternative versions or drastic changes to their appearance by far in the fandom. Probably because they aren't as favorited as most but hey, they are my personal favorite characters in Sonic so here we are-

Oh and I got a concept design for Metal Sonic from the Flora Foundry AU as well :) Still a work in progress though-

I just recently stumbled upon to this song and I don't know, when I first listened to it, the ideas and missing pieces started to come together to create this AU. And I'm glad for this song to have existed in the first place to have given me the boost of ideas needed to make a Sonic AU :D
