Chapter 1

   October rolled around and classes are so boring. I left Harvard because I knew I wanted to spend more time with my brother, Luke at Boston U. But I don't think Boston U will challenge me, or even give me the resources I need to pursue neuro psychology, leaving Harvard was hard, I had to say goodbye to all my friends and it was like high school graduation all over again. But if Boston U doesn't turn out well, I might just apply for Yale, or Cornell, those were the other universities on my list.

"Lola are you ready?!?!" My roommate Juliette shouted from across the apartment. I met her at a cafe on my way into campus, she seemed super nice so we started talking and said she was looking for a roommate. I kind of forgot to prepare my dorm, because I didn't have one, so this was right when I needed it. Her apartment is huge, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, and her building has a washing machine and a drying machine. She didn't seem like a serial killer, so I agreed and signed the lease that day. Now her and I are best friends.

"Almost let me finish washing my face, hold on!" I shouted back, we're both going to walk to campus together since neither of us have a car and we both don't plan on getting kidnapped. Her econ class and my psych class are right next to each other, in different buildings so we don't have to split up that far. I finish patting my face with a paper towel and head out of my wash room, into my bedroom. It's kind of cold so I'm wearing black sweats with a Boston U hoodie, I get my bag and meet Juli in the kitchen.

"Ok so it's like a 5 min walk and ur class end at like 2:00 right?" I nod at her as I'm eating my chocolate filled croissant, God I love food "ok and mine ends at like 2:30 so meet outside my building then?" I finish chewing my bite and mumble back to her "I'm gonna meet my brother at the arena which is like 5 min walk from my building then I'll walk back?" I ask, then take another bite of the heavenly croissant.

Juli's already 5 bites deep but she manages to nod back at me.

Class was boring, the teacher was super nice though, she told us everything to expect for the semester, I already covered it in one week at Harvard. Right now I'm walking to the area, I put one earbud in and play my go to playlist. I have like 5 different playlists for my different mood, but this is by far my favorite. The song it shuffled on was "Take me to Church" by Hozier.

I make it outside the area and the second I open the door, a gush of cold wind blows into face, how does Luke do this? I saw him about 5 times during the summer, I never really went to his house, he just came to my apartment. Probably to pine over Juli, I meant don't get me wrong she gorgeous, but I would be nice for my brother to visit me, to see me. I did transfer schools to be with him, but also because--

"LOLA!!!" someone screams out snapping me out of my thoughts. I suddenly ended up on the side of the rink, where the glass is, I must've zoned out. When I look to see who called name, I see my brother's number, #14 but for some reason he got shoved to the ground. I see someone standing above him, #88 "Luke it's practice, not shout random girls names" he called out, helping my brother up.

"But she's not a random girl, she's my sister." he says pulling himself up and pushing 88's hand aside. I see 88 roll his eyes "aww thanks" I say sarcastically touching my chest. His head whips straight at me and he starts skating over, but before he makes it halfway 88 grabbed his hand and dragged him to the other side of the arena.

"Zach let me go I wanna go see my sister" he shouts out in a whining voice "You can talk to her later, 5 suicides NOW!" I started laughing, I've never seen my brother so pissed "Do you want me to make it 2 for you too?" He looks at me, Zach right? Oh who cares "nah I'm good here" I saw gesturing to the ground

I've made my spot on one of the sofas in the waiting area, right outside of the locker rooms. Still listening to music and just zoning out, looking at the ground.

"LOLLY!!! I didn't know you were coming today!" My brother snaps me out of my fantasy. He started running towards me but I guess he remembered that he was still in pain, so he started limping, but managed to crouch down and give me a hug.

"Hey" I said hugging him back, getting out of my comfy spot and grabbing my bag. "Is, um... Juli with you?" He says looking over my shoulders. "No, she's still in class" I say back putting my earbuds back in the case. "Oh...ok" he looks sad, I'm pretty sure he's been pining over her since the first time he saw her.

"Good practice today Luke" some tall white guy behind him says, I'm pretty sure it's #88. "It would've been better if you didn't make me do suicides." He bites back. I let out a small laugh and Luke is now staring at me, I smile back and turn around.

Before I know it 88 rushes in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. Now taking a good look at him, he is very very attractive. Beautiful brown eyes with fluffy brown hair that's the perfect length.  "Hey, I'm Zach it's nice to meet you" the tall guy says, sticking his hand out for me to shake. Before I can say anything Luke screams "No shot in fucking hell, my lil sis off limits". Zach turns to look at him, correction looking down at him. Both of them are now locking eyes and just staring at each other, weird.

After awhile I turn and head out to the door, it's almost 2:20 which means I should probably get back to campus to pick up Juli. "Hey, wait!" Someone shouts behind me, I assume it's Luke, but it's not, it's that Zach guy. "There's a party at my, our house" he gestures to the space between him and Luke "do you wanna come?" He looks kind of nervous, it's actually kind of sweet. "Will there be food?" I ask, I think he thinks I'm joking because he keeps laughing, but I'm dead serious, I never joke about food. Never.

"Um, yeh pizza I think" I guess he realizes I was serious. "Oh cool, then I'll be there" I say, in my sweet voice I look behind his shoulder, or try to, man is he tall. "Don't worry Lukey, I'll bring Juli. You know she loves a good party" his faces lights up. I smile so big my cheeks hurt, I love seeing my brother happy.
