The short story is about my AU lolz. Here's a snippet of what I'm working on.

Nearly all the animals in the woods were asleep. The bunnies would be in their burrows, all cuddled up together after a day full of play. The birds would be in their nests or in the hollows they had made in trees, all tired from flying around and chirping. A fox family, after a day of hunting, would be in their dens, all curled up. And the bear and her cubs would be asleep in their cave, their bellies full from eating berries and fish.
A few animals may awake during the night however, like the owls who would call out, "Who? Who?" once the forest had been bathed in darkness. Or the crickets who would come out to chirp and sing along with one another. A single wolf may point his black nose at the bright pearl moon, his grey fur shining like silver in the moonlight, and howl, and then after some time, another wolf may howl back.
