The Pact

They signed a pact. When things got bad enough, they would kill themselves.

Erika and Kyle led a life of crime together for over twenty years. They did it all – drug dealing, theft, grand theft, bribery, extortion, and even kidnapping.

All those years, they managed to evade the law. Oh, maybe a few fines here and there or a few weeks in jail, but nothing they couldn't handle. That is until they got nabbed for murder.

Rather than face life in prison, they invoked the pact. Kyle shot himself first – DEAD.

Erika dropped her cold, untriggered gun down beside him.
