Summer Apply fic, 2024
❝ Perhaps, somewhere, some day, at a less miserable time, we may see each other again ❞━ VLADIMIR NABOKOV
As the days dwindle down and high school graduation looms closer, a group of teens brace themselves for the inevitable: their last summer together before they go their separate ways. Some would stay in the comfort of Wilmington, while others would pack their bags and venture off to colleges in distant places. With uncertainty casting a shadow over their futures and the stark realization that their paths will soon diverge, the summer ahead feels bittersweet.
Determined to seize the moment and make the most of their final days together, the group decides to spend their last summer in the quaint coastal town of Marlin Bay, much like they had done in summers past. Nestled between a sun-kissed beach and a bustling boardwalk, Marlin Bay offers the perfect setting for their farewell adventure.
However, as the days slip away like grains of sand through an hourglass, tensions rise, and emotions run high. Each member of the group grapples with their own fears and insecurities about the future, leading to conflicts and heartache amidst the picturesque backdrop of Marlin Bay. What was supposed to be a summer of bittersweet farewells becomes a journey filled with love, loss, and self-discovery.
