3rd POV

niki made his lips into a thin line as he watched the older in front of him.

he tightened his grip onto the hard surface of the book, keeping it straight up and looking over it at the boy who sat a few desks away

"yo!" he flinched when one of his friends spoke as he sat down beside niki, looking at him before moving his vision down at the book "whatcha readin'"

niki sighed, already expecting to not have the book in his hold by the time the older sat beside him with his usual careless behaviour.

"won hyung, please give it back..." he pleaded quietly, still staring at the popular student who was looking down into his notebook, writing on it focused.

"mmm why dude, seems boring." his friend, jungwon, looked over at him with a shrug, keeping the old set of written sheets that were covered by a hard leather cover with the words 'Flori De Mucigai' engraved, in one hand

niki didn't respond, busy to still stare at the man in front of him.

due to the silence jungwon was treated with made him look over at where his friend was staring at with his usual doe, curious but too shy to do something eyes, finally understanding the quietness

and even if niki loves being in a library, it was weird for him to skip a class only to read

especially in that weird language no one understands.

jungwon scoffed and rolled his eyes "obviously you won't fucking read this book. what language even is that? useless spanish..." he muttered underneath his breath. making niki finally look at him

"of course you would sit in here like a loser for that sunghoon dude-"

"shut up!" niki whisper-yelled, covering jungwon's mouth and snatching back the book

"it's not fucking spanish you idiot, it's-" he didn't get to finish because of a chair that got dragged down the wooden floor, making a short sound that made everyone look up at the person who was cleaning off from the table quickly, getting up and walking...

right towards niki's way

"act normal" he whispered to jungwon, elbowing him in the stomach, hearing the muffled yell the older was about to let out louder, stepping on his foot warningly

"riki hi!" sunghoon said with a sweet smile, looking down at niki

"hello s-sunghoon hyung!" niki smiled widely, looking at jungwon before turning back at sunghoon "what are you doing in here? didn't even notice you..." he added, moving one strand of hair behind his ear as sunghoon watched every of his move quietly, a smirk slowly growing on his face

"nothing, just some homework, i'm about to head to chem. what about you guys?" he asked, finally looking over at jungwon who had a huge frown on his face, his hands crossed and back sat flat on the chair, his legs spread underneath the table, showing his boringness

even if it was at plural, he knew the question wasn't for him to answer

not when a lover boy was drooling at sunghoon's look

"oh umm nothing" niki looked at jungwon and quickly widened his eyes for a second, as a warning, looking back at the oldest "just some reading..." he shrugged as if it was nothing

"nice book, i love it..." sunghoon replied and niki waved a hand in the air with a shy smile
