LORENZO SINCLAIR

As the vice president of our senior class it is my duty to have everyone on board. Today there was a meeting about a new treasurer position, since our old one moved schools.

There was a girl in mind named Clair Benson and she seemed really fit for the position in which I really liked. In fact, I even thought she might've been better than the last one we had.

Our old one was just a scumbag and really fucking useless. He did what he was told and did his task right, but lord, I could not stand him. I don't even know why he even got the position in the first place.

I'm glad he left because he was useless and speaking with Danica about this, our the senior class president, along with the other officers who agreed of her being fit for it, she said she had Clair for Stats in which she'll tell her about it today and let us know by tomorrow.

The sooner the better because we're going to need a treasurer because if not, who else is going to keep it sane?

"Yo, Enzo." I heard my name being called out. Already being familiar by the voice, I already knew who it was. I titled my head to the side to see the one and only, Nathaniel.

Nathaniel has been my best friend since 6th grade. I've practically grew up with that guy since as long as I can remember. We used to be neighbors when we were little. Our parents were really good friends— they still are in fact but we just moved out of the place as time went by. I live in my own complex that I own to myself now—well, technically, It actually isn't mine, it's my uncles. I just like to call it mine because it feels like mine. My uncles out of town to do some work business, he's the one who told me to watch his place for him as he's gone because he didn't want it to be so alone and didn't want his mails to be stocked up when he comes back because he's going to be gone for a long time.

A long time...

I don't even know when he's coming back. Which I hope not soon because I'm really enjoying that privacy because back home with my parents is just so complicated.
Besides he trusts me and since I'm already 18, he gave me the responsibility.

"How's is it going, Nate?" I asked as I fist bumped him as he came to approach me. He sat right in front of me in the empty chair right across from me.

"Oh you know me, just preparing for some school spirit and spoiling a hot girlfriend," he winks at the end, "but what about you though? You got that look in your face of 'something happened'." He stated and I softly scoffed

"What face?" I asked, acting completely clueless even though I know he can read right through me. I don't even want to mention what happened this morning because my memory is just filled with missing pieces that just don't make sense with the ones I remember.

"Don't act now, Sinclair. Spit it." He hissed. Almost threatening and I sighed, shamelessly.

There wasn't nothing much to say besides waking up with a woman in my bed who I don't recall who she is because I don't even know what the fuck even happened, "Well I woke up with a random woman in my bed." I blurted and he scowled under his breath, while everyone in the library shushed him.

I softly laughed at it.

"Dude... what?" He whispered at the end, surprised.

I softly nodded. Making it even more possible for him to believe.

"You're such a slut, Sinclair." He proclaimed at me but then his eyes lingered somewhere else that made him go low. He was no longer shocked, his eyebrows fell down to their place. He looked scared? As if he saw a ghost but also guilty? As if he got in trouble, which made me furrow in confusion by turning around to see who or what he saw that made him turn cold.

And It was the same girl I saw this morning when I was at the liquor store. She had just walked in with the same book she had in her hand the last time I saw her, some lame ass textbooks tight against her chest, and her colorful pens that I bet she uses in different colorations that mean something. By judging, she does seem like the type of person who'd do that just by observing her.

"Who's that you're looking at, that's got you all spooked?" I said sarcastically, which caused him to break the little tension he had as he was hypnotized by whoever that person is.

"Not spooked more like... awkwardness." He said, tuckering in, where it had me confused.

"Why are you hiding?" I questioned as he scooted himself in the middle between me where my back blocks his presence.

He sighed underneath his breath, "remember the girl I told you about?" And I slowly shook my head, not knowing what he's talking about. He huffs, "well do you know that girl behind you?" I looked back to get a good glance at her once again. Her eyes so focused on that textbook she's reading instead of her book, her eyes not once blinking and I bet she'd rather read her own than that horrendous school book, but still, I shook my head, still not knowing the point he's getting at, "I mean I've seen her around, took a glance at her but I don't know her." I shrugged.

"Well that's Jasmine— the one I told you she said she liked me last year." And my eyes almost went wide.

No way thats THE Jasmine.
that was her the whole time?

well fuck

"That's her?" I almost sounded shocking and he nodded.

I do remember him telling me about her.
Poor little sunshine got rejected by Mr dickhead because he was talking with the Diva everyone has a problem with.
I just think he could do so much better, Danica is a bitch, I've seen and know how she is, if she doesn't get what she wants then she's going to find a way to get to it.

I've had issues with her but I've tend to tolerate her ass. She's also my best friends girlfriend so the tolerance has to be there or else, he'll kick drop my ass. In which I all don't care about if he did or not because it's the truth.

I don't know miss smartypants but I just know she could've been a better influence for Nate.

Although I do remember Nathaniel considering Jasmine the exact moment he told me about her. He was all so hesitant about his feelings towards her, causing him to stress down. He said he was attracted by her but it wasn't as strong as he is with Danica but he still lingered for miss stranger over there. Who's sitting behind me.

"Yes that's her, you prick. Don't start shit talking because she's not even ugly." He defended and I surrendered my arms up in the air, "wow I wasn't even saying anything like that. I—"

His phone had rang so loudly that it had everyone in this library look over here. He quickly digged his phone from his pocket and turned it off from ringing, "My bad." He apologized to everyone looking at him and even made eye contact with jazzy behind, causing him to get a bit red, again.

"Dude." I said trying to snap him out and he did.

"Let's just get the fuck out of here." I said as I started packing all my shit in my backpack.

"Great idea." He proceeded as he got up from his chair, waiting for me to finish up and when I did, we both walked out of the library, not even looking back.

This Jasmine girl has took a toll of his ass. We needed to leave before he did something stupid.
