Just you

With Solitude comes silence
It's just yourself
With no guidance

It's almost comforting
Being alone
Just myself
A feeling that has grown

It gives you time
To find yourself in this world
No longer questioning If your words
are being heard
Sometimes the loneliness
Becomes maddening
Speaking out into the distance
With no reply can be saddening

However

You don't have to answer to someone
You don't have to be chained down
You can build your own castle
And you can wear the crown
There's nobody to tell you
What you can and cannot do
No rules, no law
Nobody to answer to

Solitude
I take comfort in knowing
That I'm no longer controlled
Or owing
To anyone but myself
