Nova sat on top of a rock, her blue eyes scanning across the night searching for any movement then she spotted it, a sloth walks alone clumsily through the brush and the wolf crouches her large body down hiding with in the trees as she stalks closer, the sloth sung to himself as he walked something about telling his herd something and novas head tilted, she didn't know sloths traveled in herds?
Becoming curious the wolf followed behind the sloth with no problem, he didn't seem to be very good at watching his surroundings anyway seeing as he had triped over five seperate times the she-wolf was getting impatient and debated just killing him now until voices where heard in the distance and the sloth picked up his speed happily
He runs out into an opening towards the other animals as Nova watches her eyes narrowing in slight confusion
There were two mammoths, two possums and a saber, but none of them fought of even seemed hostile towards each other
"What an odd herd.." The wolf through her body relaxing slightly in curiosity but causing the bush she hid in the Russle at her slight movement the whole groups heads snapping over to her and she cursed.
The saber sniffed the air before jumping in front of the group and growling in her direction
"Diego what are you doing?" The male mammoth asks
"Come out!" The saber calls his tone stern and threatening and Nova can't help but let out a small growl at his tone the group hearing it and all getting defensive
Nova sighed, she had been caught, slowly she stepped out of the bush and into the light, the sun hitting her brown fur causing it to shimmer with a golden hue.
The herd Tensed even more once the large wolf emerged from the bush the sloth she had been hunting scurrying behind the mammoths as well as the possums, the saber, diego, let out a growl placing his body as best as he could in front of his herd protectively and Nova sighs
Slowly she sits down lowering her head to the cat who gives her a shocked expression before calming down slightly
"Who are you?" The saber asks the mammoths each coming up beside him intimidateing the wolf slightly but she shakes herself, holding her head high
"I am Nova" she spoke confidently, standing up
"Nova! I'm sid!" The sloth says happily walking over to her seeming to think she is not a threat
"Sid" the male mammoth calls for him in slight concern before he reaches her with a goofy smile putting his clawed hand out for her to shake, Nova stares at sid with a confused expression
"Do you have any survival instincts?" She questions bluntly and the sloth stares at her for a second before grabbing her paw and shaking it causing her to let out a small growl at the contact startling him and making him turn and run back to the male mammoth hiding behind him
"What did you think would happen?" The mammoth asks as Nova rubs her paw in the dirt disgusted by the contact
"I'm Ellie, your not gonna eat us are you miss wolf?" The female mammoth asks hesitantly yet politely taking a small step towards Nova who stares at her in slight shock before thinking
Was she going to?
"No" she spoke shaking her head before the ground seemed to shake the group letting out yelps as they turnt seeing a large piece of ice break off behind them novas ears pulling back slightly, it was getting closer to her home..
Ellie, noticing the wolfs discomfort frowned as her eyes drifted to were nova looked before she got an idea a dumb idea
"How about you come with us?" She asks and everyone looks at her in shock
"What?!" The males screamed in horror and Nova stared at her with narrowed eyes
"We're heading to a boat, it will save us" Ellie explains with a small smile getting closer to Nova who looks to be thinking before she nods
"Alright." Nova states clearly and the male mammoth begins
"No no no! We are not bringin' her!" He says pointing to Nova with his trunk as Ellie simply raises an unimpressied eyebrow before scoffing
"She won't do anything she needs to get to this boat as much as we do" Ellie argues and novas eyes widen at the mammoths faith
The two stared at each other in challenge before the male groaned loudly
"Fine!" He exclaims and Ellie smiles turning to Nova who can't help but smile as well but catches herself
"What the hell am I doing.." She thinks as the male storms up to her pushing his trunk into her chest
"If you even so much as blink wrong I will kebab you" he threatened, Nova only giving him a bored look before swatting his trunk away and signaling for him to lean the way and he scoffs before walking off the sloth following as the saber stayed in the middle senior glances to Nova who strayed at the back Ellie and the possums in front of her and she sighs turning back to her home
"This is gonna come and bite me in the ass.." She thought as she continued on the ice crumbling and crashing down behind them.
