Gulf's POV:

I woke up early to prepare for work. As I was about to leave my condo building and hail a taxi, someone honked. I was surprised by what I saw. He lowered the car window, and there was Mew, smiling. My eyes squinted in delight. He stepped out of the car and approached me.

"Good morning," he greeted.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm taking you. I've been waiting here since earlier. Good thing the guard said you hadn't left yet," he replied.

"You don't need to do this. I can manage going to work on my own," I said.

"I know. But like I told you last night, I'm courting you. I like you, right?" he said. My heart suddenly quickened.

"Mew..."

"I'm not in a hurry. I can wait, no matter how long. Just let me do these simple things for you," he said sincerely. He glanced at his watch. "Come on. You'll be late for work." I quickly checked my watch. I had no choice but to agree. He opened the car door for me. Once inside, he took the driver's seat.

I was surprised when he suddenly approached me. "What?"

"Your seatbelt, baby," he said, our faces inches apart. I could already smell the menthol on his breath. I couldn't help but glance at his lips, swallowing hard. With just a slight movement, our lips would touch again.

And in that intimate moment, with our faces so close, I found myself captivated by the warmth in his eyes. The air between us seemed to crackle with unspoken emotions, and the anticipation hung thick.

"What?" I managed to say, my voice a bit breathless.

"Your seatbelt, baby," he repeated, his eyes never leaving mine. I fumbled a bit, my fingers brushing against the seatbelt before finally securing it in place.

As he returned to the driver's seat, I couldn't shake off the sense of electricity that lingered. The car started, and he drove off, the cityscape passing by in a blur. But my thoughts were anything but blurred; they were focused on the complexity of emotions swirling within me.

His words echoed in my mind — "I like you." It was a simple declaration, yet it held a weight that left me both excited and hesitant. The dance of emotions continued as we navigated the morning traffic, and I couldn't help but wonder where this unexpected journey with Mew was lead.

Neither of us wanted to break the silence. I glanced at Mew, focused on driving.

"Handsome?" I teased.

"You've got nerve," I said, rolling my eyes. I heard him laugh. "Your words don't match what I see in your eyes."

"Tsssk."

"Don't you have work? Seems like you have a lot of time," I remarked.

"I do. But I have plenty of time for you," he said, smiling. I shot him a glare. He grinned back.

I ignored him and just looked out the window. When we reached my office, he promptly opened the car door for me.

"We have parking. Why did you drop me off here?" Doesn't he know it's not allowed here? Tsssk.

"So you won't have to walk far," he replied. What a charming answer.

"Thanks for the ride, but I told you, you don't have to do this." I was surprised when he suddenly hugged me.

"Mew..." He kissed me on the forehead.

"Why so early, my grumpy wifey?" I glanced around, and some of the employees here seemed amused, while others didn't look too pleased.
