A loud ringing was in the air and smoke covered the bridge. Janeway found herself spawled out on the floor her lungs felt like they burned and with sheer will she forced herself to breath
Red alert sounded in a muffled echo and through blurred vision she stared at the flickering ceiling and red flashing lights. Reality hit her as a voice reached out
"Captain!.. Captain!!!!... KATHERINE!"
another deep breath followed by a choke and cough found Janeway slowly sitting her self up to look over at Chakotay kneeled beside her. The man had a gash across her forehead
"I'm fine Chakotay...just .. dazed" she managed to speak while pulling herself up with assistance from Chakotay. She looked out at the state of her bridge consoles flickering, tubing and debris hung from the ceiling panels
"Report!" She said taking her seat
"Main power is failing! Emergency power is stable, shields are offline, warpdrive and most primary systems are offline we took heavy damage... No hull breaches reported we have multiple casualties Sickbay is overwhelmed!" Harry answered
"I hate to be the messanger of bad news but Impulse engines are offline thrusters are barely fuctional and if I'm reading sensors right we are heading straight for a planet" Tom spoke up..
"Can you identify it?" Janeway asked
"Sensors are still reinitializing... I'm trying to get the view screen online standby... It's class M... Oxygen atmosphere. Detecting radiation" Harry answered as the static filled screen began to clear away and reveal a planet that was growing closer by the second
"That's....I recognize...America" Tom said turning back to glance at Janeway who was equally as shocked
"It can't be. Harry I need those sensors now. Are you picking up any StarFleet signal?" She asked
"Negative Captain nothing is on subspace but the com array suffered damage I'm still trying to relay power..."
"Well we may get to say hi to them in person soon enough I can't break free of the gravity pull Captain" Tom chimed in
"Take us in as smooth as you can Tom. Bridge to engineering I need all available power to the thrusters B'Elanna we are about to make an Emergency Landing" Janeway spoke
"I'll do my best Captain it's a mess down here right now! I don't know how much I can do!" B'Elanna spoke over the voices of her engineers yelling and shouting
"Give me everything you can. Divert power from where ever you need cut life support if you have to!. All emergency power to thrusters and Landing systems. All hands prepare for emergency landing procedures!" Janeway spoke
"We're entering the upper atmosphere now. Thrusters are up to 60% I don't know if it's gonna be enough it's going to be a hard landing Captain"
The crew watched as Voyager passed through the clouds and the landscape below became visible
"Short range sensors are back online... I'm detecting lifesigns.. I...I'm not detecting Starfleet HQ. Or any open ports or landing grounds that I can identify" Harry said
"Nothing looks alive down there'... What happened?" Janeway asked "tom find us a safe place to land anywhere pick a open field"
"Doing my best im locking on a location.. there's a large open area here"
The surface was getting closer and closer and Janeway held tight to her chair as the bridge began vibrating
"Firng all thrusters attempting to slow our decent. Making adjustments... deploying landing struts."
