Bloom and I walked through the grand entrance gates of the school, and I couldn't help but admire its beauty

Bloom and I walked through the grand entrance gates of the school, and I couldn't help but admire its beauty. However, deep down, I knew that this place would never truly feel like home to me. My true sense of belonging came from my friends, Faye, Gina, and the shadows that surrounded me. It was they who had raised me and protected me all these years.

Ms. Dowling had left us in the capable hands of a girl named Stella to show us around. As soon as Dowling was out of sight, Bloom turned to me with a furious expression on her face. Her cheeks were flushed with anger as she unleashed her pent-up frustration. "You attention-seeking whore! You just had to steal my spotlight, didn't you? I was supposed to be the special one for once, not you. I can't believe I have to go to the same school as you," she ranted.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed at her childish behavior. It was hard to believe that we were related. Bloom had always felt the need to outshine me or divert attention away from me whenever I received any recognition. When Ms. Dowling mentioned that fire fairies were becoming rare, Bloom seemed to find solace in the idea that she was unique. However, her happiness was short-lived when she discovered that I, too, possessed the powers of a fire fairy. Frustrated, Bloom stormed off without a clear destination in mind.

Suddenly, a new shadow approached me, its presence unfamiliar. It whispered in a hushed tone, "My queen, you should not have come. The burned ones have returned, and they seek your demise before you can reach your full potential." As quickly as it had appeared, the shadow vanished, leaving its owner to fade into the distance. I sighed, realizing that I should have anticipated this danger. The overworld was not a safe place for me, and I questioned why I had even desired to come here in the first place.

As I stood there, engrossed in my phone, I couldn't help but sense the piercing gazes from the people around me. It was a strange sensation, one that didn't exactly make me feel welcome in this unfamiliar place. I couldn't understand why they were staring at me, as I had made sure to conceal my soulmate marks. Perhaps it was something else that caught their attention.

Soulmates were a rare occurrence, and having more than one was even more uncommon. Yet, fate had bestowed upon me the presence of two soulmates, each marked on different parts of my body. One resided on my left hip, while the other adorned my right ankle. My knowledge about soulmates was limited, and I relied solely on the whispers of the shadows for information.

According to these mysterious entities, my soulmates would be the ones to love and protect me unconditionally. They would go to great lengths to ensure my happiness and well-being. And i them. I yearned for their arrival, hoping that they would come into my life soon and help me rebuild the kingdom that once belonged to me.

As I pondered over these thoughts, a girl whom I assumed to be Stella approached me, followed closely by Bloom. I couldn't help but notice that she lacked a shadow, indicating that she must be a light fairy. Her attire, consisting of whites and bright colors, stood in stark contrast to my own ensemble, which predominantly featured black.

Curiosity sparked within me as Stella's eyes scanned my outfit, seemingly intrigued by the stark difference between our styles.

"Morgana Peters, correct?" she asked, her tone exuding authority.

I nodded, "You must be Stella. I must say, I admire your sense of style."

"And I yours. Black looks good on everyone, but you definitely make it work better," she replied. However, my fairy friends approached us.

"Hey Stella!" Faye greeted with a smile. Gina walked over, also smiling, and hugged me. I returned the embrace.

Gina had long messy dark brown hair, grey eyes, and clear white skin. "Faye, it's nice to see you again as well," Stella said with a soft, shy smile. "How do you know Morgana, and who is this?"

"This is Gina, from the first world. She's one of the friends I was telling you about," Faye explained. I could sense that Faye also had a crush on Stella, based on her body language.

"I have to show these two to their suite," Stella stated. And just like that, Stella, Bloom, anbyd I walked through the school and headed to the suite. "I have to warn you, your sister made the mistake of flirting with Sky. Just a word of advice, make it clear that you're not interested in him romantically. Otherwise, you'll make Riven jealous."

"Okay, Sky and Riven are both gender-neutral names, and I'm not familiar with their appearances," I inquired and clarified.

"Both Sky and Riven are cisgender boys. Sky has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is tall and athletic. You'll easily recognize him because he's often accompanied by a lean brunette boy. They're soulmates, so I wouldn't bother trying anything," Stella explained.

"I have common sense," I assured her.
