Closing the door to my well our room now, I leave her hand making her sit on the bed squatting in front of her
"Hey" I whisepr touching her thighs
she looks up at me finally, her eyes completely blank.
"Will you please change? Mumma has your clothes in the closet on the right side" I whisper
She doens't say anything just gets up walking to the closet which she found because the door was open. I walked to the bathroom taking my sherwani off. as I washed my face, the cold silver of the ring touches my face reminding me of our wedding
For some reason, my stomach was fine know, my heart was okay. At first I felt blank and lost as well but hearing ma and Mumma, I knew it was the best decision anyways, it keeps both the friends in the same family and now they cam live together
Drying off I walk in the room to see nandini siting on the floor beside the bed, her back resting on the side of the bed, her chin on her knees that were drawn into her chest.
I walk over and sat on the floor in front of her, she looks in my eyes but doens't say anything. neither her nor I break the eye contact, I lean my hadn't forward placing it on her hands
"Nandini" I whisper
She doesn't say anything
"Nandini bacha we have to talk, we can't just be silent" tears form in her eyes
I knew she was having a very hard time dealing with everything because her and aman were together for a while, about a year and some time, I mean they did get engaged a year ago and were waiting for this wedding so I know she is broken
"I know it hurts bacha but will you please talk to me, tell me what's going on?" I mumble caressing her hair a little
"He left" she whispers for the first time
I have heard her voice a couple times usually screaming in the background when ma was on the phone with aunty but today it seems very very timid
"I know and I am very sorry that the went like that but you can't just be silent na" I mumble
she just looks at me but doesn't say untying, there was a knock on the door before I could say anything else to her
"Come in" I say
"I got food for you two" it was cabir
"come on in, and put it on the table we will eat in a bit" I tell him
'Still not talking?' He mouths
I just smile which he understood so he leaves shutting the door behind him.
"Come on, lets eat. I am starving" I whisper
She shakes her head at me making me happy that she was actually responding
"But im hungry"
"You eat" she says
"You won't eat with me? You know hate eating alone and ma and Mumma both slept and see even cabir, he is going to sleep as well, how will I eat alone?" I ask
she wipes her face as tears fell from her eyes, she gets up and sits on the chair grabbing a plate giving me the other plate. We both ate in silence and then I took the plates downstairs washing them and coming back up.
I saw her in the balcony so I quickly brushed and got ready for bed before making my way to the balcony to see her looking up at the moon that was shinning so bright tonight
"Hey" I whisper
She looks at me and then back at the moon
"It's pretty isn't it?" I ask
