CHAPTER EIGHT

TODAY WAS THE DAY, the day I've been waiting for this whole summer. I woke up feeling extra excited. Today was the day of the debutante ball. It was the day my dream would finally come true.
I took a quick shower before getting dressed. I did my make up before Steven comes walking into my room.
Steven: "hey soph." -he says, smiling at me.
Sophia: "hey Steven." -I said, smiling back at him.
Steven: "you look really pretty." -he says, grabbing my hand and twirls me around slowly.
Sophia: "Aw that's so sweet." -I said, smiling at him
He then smiles back at me before putting his hands on my face gently and then starts kissing me roughly. His hands made it down my waist. I felt my whole body shiver and butterflies in my stomach. He proceeded to start kissing my neck until Jeremiah walks in.
Jeremiah: "Oh my god!" -he says, covering his eyes backing away from us.
Sophia: "Oh my god can't you knock Jesus Christ." -I said, trying to close the door in his face
Jeremiah: "Woah woah wait- sorry I just wanted to ask you if your ready? Laurel is going to drive you and belly to the country club." -he says, looking at Steven grossed out
Steven: "Come on man, stop looking at me like that, like you haven't seen anyone make out before." -he says.
Jeremiah: "alright sorry man, it's just weird seeing you kiss my sister after you know?"
Sophia: "Jeremiah shut up."
Steven: "After the breakup? Yeah we're over that stop bringing it up." -he says, rolling his eyes
Jeremiah: "Ok ok, sorry um love you guys I'll see you guys downstairs" -he says, running down the stairs.
Sophia: "sorry about that, jere doesn't know to knock." -I said, smiling at him.
Steven: "it's fine I just hate how everyone keeps mentioning our breakup last year."
Sophia: "yeah I know trust me I hate it too, but when people see how happy we are. They won't say anything okay?"
Steven: "yeah." -he says, smiling at me.
Sophia: "do you have your tux?"-I asked, holding onto his hand
Steven: "yeah I do." -he says.
Sophia: "okay I need to finish getting ready I'll see you later?"
Steven: "yeah, okay get ready I love you bye." -he says, kissing me before leaving.
If I'm being honest after he left i couldn't stop smiling, i love him so much it hurts. I finished getting ready to go downstairs.
I went downstairs to see Conrad, Jeremiah, and Belly all ready.
Belly: "Oh my god you look so gorgeous!!" -she says, hugging me.
