Don't Expect So Much [4/28/11]

Don't expect so much, 

for i may only be able to go a little. 

Don't expect too fast, 

for i may only go too slow. 

Don't expect so  much, 

for it breaks my heart

if i fail to achieve what you need of me. 

I am taking this slow, 

and i apologize for not 

being like the others. 

But please don't expect so much, 

it might lead me to such. 

When you expect, 

i get pressured

and then i worry and maybe

not even a sorry will erase it. 

When you expect, 

i expect more from myself. 

But when there is high pressure, 

i get low confidence. 

So please, 

Don't expect so much. 

Just wait. 

for the day that i show

you what i can do 

in utter surprise.
