"You're always on your phone, Juli." Chaewon rants as she lays down the bed.

"Sorry, I was just texting my friend." the girl replied before placing her phone on the nightstand and taking the blue sweatshirt from the chair.

"Yujin? You two just had a whole day out." Chaewon says, carefully watching as Julia puts the sweatshirt in her closet.

"I just told her about her sweatshirt." she simply answers.

Julia proceeds to sit down on the couch and grabs the tv remote. As she turns on the television, she feels the spot beside her sink.

"I thought you were about to sleep?" she asks Chaewon, who just sat down beside her.

"Now I can't." the latter blankly answered.

"Do you want me to turn the tv off?" Julia asks while staring at her friend.

"Keep it on. I'll watch until I fall asleep." she states.

Chaewon carefully scoots closer and lays her head on her friend's shoulder. To her, it felt warm and safe. But to Julia, it felt like her chest was about to explode.

She had always felt something for her best friend. A feeling that wasn't normal for their relationship. Something that people call "unrequited love".

It was moments like this that made her wonder. They were only friends, yet Julia felt like everything that Chaewon does was something more. Scratch that, it made her assume things. She knows that everything they do– even this cuddling or staying over at her place all the time– was normal for friends.

But since she felt something for Chaewon, she thought differently. She hoped that it was different.

"Good night, Chae." she whispered and held her body closer.

"Night, Juli."
